I don’t know if anyone has brought this up but can we please talk about how on Patreon we barely get what we’re promised.

The $12 tier was one I was subscribed to for a long time, but I’ve come to realize it isn’t worth it anymore.

The $12 gets: name in the credits, bonus (EXCLUSIVE) videos, Directors Commentary, 10% merch discount, a sticker, and a poster. (Plus everything in the $5 tier) (I.e, the exclusive photos and BTS vids, script access, ad free videos, polls, extended versions of videos)

First things first, the last directors commentary was in 2022. It was for the Dark Side of Disney! Episode of Sanders Sides. There are several other videos after that, that could have been posted as well.

Next, the exclusive videos that were promised are very far and few between. Now you may say “Well what about the Mind Melds Part 2 Video?��� That was ALSO available to the federal education budget tier! This is also the case with the “Bonus Video: the Mystery Storage Unit” that was posted in MAY. After a lot of scrolling and comparing tiers, the last exclusive video the $12 tier and higher received was on November 4th of 2022 and it was “A video of appreciation from Logan for Logan Appreciation day” which is a 1:25 long video of Logan showing off his Velma cosplay.

That’s the two main pieces of content you get with this level. Some people can try and justify that having your name on the video, a 10% discount , and a poster and sticker are worth it, but take this into account.

Most of the merch on the website is either sold out or only comes in sizes that aren’t common. The only expedition is with the roleslaying with Roman merch, which with that series on pause, will end up on the back shelf with the Sanders Sides merch.

As for the poster and sticker, you have to be a member for 3 months for the sticker and 6 months for the poster. Which is $50 of membership dues when you add it all up for both of the products.

Unless you’re an avid fan trying to collect left over merch, want ur name in the videos for like .5 seconds. and want a sticker and poster (Which is a one time thing)…just save the $7 and get the federal education budget tier.

I was never in the Patreon but the thought of spending $50 for a poster + sticker makes me light headed holy shit 💀 and the Logan as Velma thirst trap is CRAZY I feel like he should be paying you guys to see that one

Thomas posting two episodes of My Roommate Is Hades and then seemingly dropping the series is so fucking funny to me like, clearly the guy thought it was gonna blow up cause it had the big three:

And then neither episode broke 100k so we've been getting shitty easy content since

let’s go into detail about what’s going on with thomas sanders and brei grace, because i refuse to let him and the community sweep this under the rug:

thomas severely underpaid brei grace for her work on roleslaying with roman

thomas then laid brei off after creating a work environment that was bad enough to make her not want to return

thomas made a post “announcing” that rswr would be on “an indefinite hiatus”. but it was only available on his patreon (im not a patron so i can’t link the post or show a screenshot, but if i find a screenshot i will edit it into this post)

to amend the above point: i had seen many people saying there was a patreon post that touched on the subject of brei being laid off and rswr taking a hiatus, but in actuality, according to a patron, thomas mentioned the matter in a patreon livestream, not a full blown post. i apologize for the misinformation

just days later, thomas makes a tweet about his merch sale, and most (if not ALL) his current merch was designed by brei, who will not see a penny in royalties, and this is apparently a regular thing with thomas

finally, an entire week after the patreon “announcement” and brei being laid off, thomas says this on the youtube community page (among other things, but this is what im focusing on):

i want to point out the phrase “brei is currently not part of our team” and how thomas fails to acknowledge that HE is responsible for that. HE laid her off. and like a cowardly snake, he’s hiding behind vague corporate speak because he doesn’t want to admit the truth

unfortunately for him, the truth is out there

i know i sound really serious and dramatic and yall are probably not even taking me seriously and you have your pitchforks at the ready, but guess what? i couldn’t care less. i mean this IS serious, which is why im taking it seriously. but at the end of the day im just informing the community of what i know. what you do with that information is up to you

im not “cancelling” thomas, or trying to start a witch hunt, im just so sick of everyone pretending thomas is a perfect harmless little angel who can do no wrong. cos guess what? he HAS done wrong. he’s done wrong by brei. but everyone is so busy sucking up to him that they don’t seem to care that brei is suffering because of him

and this isn’t the first time he’s done wrong by an artist, either (let’s never forget the mad libs incident)

to summarize: thomas doesn’t make it a habit of properly compensating the artists he hires, he makes their experiences a living hell, and then he lies through his teeth about it

like i said, do with this information what you will, but i don’t know how thomas sleeps at night

I don’t have anything from around accepting anxiety. But I have 2 dramas from tiktok in like 2020-2021

Number 1: this one cosplayer would get drunk on zoom calls and be inapropriate with another cosplayer so they got canceled for that

Number 2: during that time it was popular to make little multi video story lines of the sides. And one cosplayer depicted some very unsavory things between two sides. Made a little apology video then dropped off the face kf the earth, posted like 5 videos for a different fandom a year later before dropping off the face of the earth again never to return.

Yeah please whatever you got it doesn’t have to be from around accepting anxiety but oh my god that’s so wild

Like I knew there were tss cosplayers on TikTok but whenever I saw them they were getting like under 500 likes on a post I didn’t know there were any sanders sides communities on there

Saw your criticisms and wanted to add to the thoughts, not even part one of that “four part script” is done. All these toxically positive fanders who think they’re getting anything other than a rushed short tied to an ad this year or next are delusional.

He either fired, chased off, or cut all of his actual writers, so now he’s stuck trying to make excuses and postpone the finale because, surprise, it’s not even got a proper drafted script.

Exactly and on top of that I feel like all the die hard fans don’t realize that even if we do get the big finale, the characters we knew died back in Working Through Intrusive Thoughts

All the short form shit we’ve gotten since then he only pumps out because he feels obligated to in order to keep the fandom around and happy which I guess is working for his Twitter fans but I wouldn’t know I don’t go on Twitter

And I just recently found out about all the writer drama through a different post and,, oh my god 💀 bro is making all the worst choices

I’m just glad that Brei came out and clarified that she was actually laid off after Thomas’s post

Hey! I’m Ronny, I was really active in the Sanders Sides fandom from 2017-2020 (my ss blog was @logic-is-iconic if you were around back then). I remember waiting for part two of Accepting Anxiety in middle school and now I’m in my sophomore year of college and we still don’t have closure for the series

I came back because I saw the Anime Intro video in my suggestions the other day and I watched it to see what the series was up to and,, 😬 eugh

But yeah I made this blog to share some of my own thoughts about Thomas’s recent decisions because I know how toxically positive the fandom can be and I wanted to find all the other ex-fanders out there. I’m not trying to hate on the guy but at the same time I feel like he could use a healthy amount of hate rn

i feel as if thomas has dug himself into the deepest hole imaginable when it comes to sanders sides. unfortunately, i dont think ill be fully satisfied with whatever he manages to put out for the finale. as the days drag on, people's standards go up - people expect something high quality when we've waited four fucking years.

i genuinely sympathise with thomas in that regard. he admitted himself that he keeps adding to the finale, and theres no doubt in my mind that hes doing so as compensation for how long the finale is taking. but adding more means longer production time. he's shooting himself in the foot.

i hope he's okay, genuinely. despite all the shit i talk about him, i hope thomas is at least doing okay with a support system and close friends. i just wish he communicated more clearly in the first place, laid out the foundation for our expectations early on instead of insisting everything was okay whilst the building was very clearly collapsing

Honestly I'd be happy if Thomas just posted the entire 4 part script of the last ss episode without recording anything. That way we could at least get solid closure for the series, we won't have to see him butcher the characters after not playing them for so long, and he won't have people asking about it any more (because we all know how he feels about that :/) and later if he decides he wants to make a full effort episode for it, then we'd at least be getting a better quality video than one he made just because he felt like he had to

But tbh I don't know if he'll be open to that idea because he probably feels like he owes us that last ep (which, he does, at least to his patreon doners) and will continue to push it off without any clear progress updates
