Today, the music world said goodbye to a legend. Mr. McCoy Tyner, thank you for all you’ve done to contribute to the piano, and to Black American Music as a whole! I still remember the first time I heard a recording of McCoy with the Coltrane Quartet. I said, “THAT’S the level of passion and dedication I wanna learn how to execute!” And it’s stuck with me ever since! This year’s Soulful Noel has been SO special for so many reasons!
