When someone (a lot of people in this fandom like) did you wrong and you can't do much about it because you refuse to put them on blast because that's immature and wrong
It’s upsetting that people tend to do others wrong. Especially in this knit-tight fandom, everyone knows each others. Enemies and Allies. I hope one day that people get their justice.

Thinking some of the TSP fanbase could really learn from TBG. (Also it's a good game, probably going to be on sale during the spring sales soon, wink wink)
Please stop putting lampposts in my games.

I wish the settings person had more content. For the fabric of the universe, they really don't get much screentime. They're the perfect character to advertise merchandise with smh
Truly the coolest character ever. There's a lot of other characters that are underrated too. My favorite character is Gambhorra'ta.

Will you ever blocked or mute anons?
Just curious and all. Or will you just delete message and not answer them if they arent to extreme. Just a question you dont wanna answer
If I see extreme things like death threats towards me or others, I would delete them and block/mute the anons. I state in the rules that I don't want to be in any drama that this blog could potentially start and I'm not responsible if there is.
If I see nsfw confessions or any suggestive topics, I'll delete it. The Blogger is a minor and I don't want any topics like that starting here. (Especially because I joined the fandom during the rise of suggestive/borderline nsfw content on public spaces too.)
If anything else, I might accidentally ignored it, purposely ignored or accidentally deleted it.

Also, you a half-life fan too?! I shouldn’t be this surprised there’s HL-TSP overlap given that these are both game franchises that explore choice, the lack thereof and the illusion thereof, one of which started out as a mod of the other. In my expert opinion/lh, the Narrator and the G-Man should meet and talk about the silent protagonists they put into situations.
Half life fan-ish... currently hyperfixated on hlvrai..
I'm very fixated on the thought of Gordon Freemen and Stanley in a room together. Throw in Chell from portal too. o(^o^)o
I think Gman and The Narrator would be a lethal duo, you wouldn't want to combine their powers now, would you? /silly

I have to be one of like. Three people in this fandom to prefer a fully non-romantic reading of the Stanley-Narrator dynamic. I see the game as about the complex three-way interactions between a creator, their work and the people that interact with it, with the Narrator representing the former and Stanley the latter two (with the player also occasionally coming up as a separate entity from Stanley). There’s the genuine care creators have for their work, something that came from the depths of their own mind and reflects their deeply personal feelings wanting to see that work succeed and touch people’s hearts but also becoming overly defensive of keeping one’s work on a specific path, the already impossible ordeal of trying to write the ‘perfect story’ becoming even more complicated when the story in question is a video game, where players can interact with it however they see fit. There’s the validation creators derive from people loving their work and how it’s so, so easy to grow dependent on that validation and to try and pander to it and take every piece of criticism personally until you destroy both yourself and everything you were once passionate about. There’s the million insecurities that come out when making something creative, there’s violent projection onto one’s work and there’s moments of unexpected self-reflection, of going on a journey with your passion that can never be as simple as a predetermined path. From Stanley’s side, there’s feeling like somebody is taking your own expressive freedom away from you and wanting to test those boundaries. There’s also being genuinely curious about what every part of the story (why else would you be playing all these different endings?) that would never be fully complete without your ‘meddling’ no matter how much the other party can deny it. There’s definitely love in here. It’s not that I don’t understand why fandom sees it as romantic, but as an asexual, possibly aromantic creator who deeply relates to the Narrator, I’ve somehow managed to read it as love for what you’ve made, and for the people to whom it was as important as it was for you. I’m not sure if this explained it well at all-
First of all, this explanation is everything to me. I love seeing other people's interpretations of stanarrator and what it looks from other perspectives.
Second of all, I've always loved the trope of: Creator and their creation. Something about a creator loving their creation because it's something they made that is real to them, why would they love it.

As someone who finds a lot of comfort in shipping. I do try to appreciate what the game has to offer more then that. I try to appreciate every aspect.
But sometimes I also just wanna re-tweet fluffy Stannarrator art because it makes me happy. I still love the game aside that.
But if a ship makes me happy I'm going to engage with it. Even if it might not be canon or gets to much focus here.
I understand people having criticism towards fandom being ship focused. But that's been around since the start of fandom history. it's something fandom does. You can criticized people who only engage with it. But please dont harass anyone over it.
Exactly! there's nothing wrong with indulging in fandom spaces like this. Just don't take it so far.

Me personally I never liked what the hell was going on with parafell ,,, that shit was weird.
AND I gotta confess that I don’t like how generic narrator designs got right after sadist , all of them were in a basic brown suit over and over with the grey hair.
There’s people who have pulled this off but I keep seeing repeats over and over the same kind and I think spicing it up would be cooler. (It was like the twink cipher tumblr sexy man stuff all over again/j)
Also I miss when it was more focused on the game itself , don’t get me wrong we weren’t given much to work with and I get making things off the base game (love that stuff) but I miss when there was more about the game itself rather than like head canons n stuff
Let me list off your concerns.
1. Parafell was weird, yea I agree
2. I still stand by with my opinion on: I love all narrator designs, generic or not! And it's okay if you don't like them.
3. The more people vocalize their complaints about how people don't focus on the main game or focus on the details it has, the more I'm inclined to have that complaint as well, but we can't stop someone from making a fanon version of the game. It's just fandom stuff.

on the topic of people who only focus on the humor of the games and nothing else, the people who only care about shipping drive me up the wall. There's so many interesting things going on and the ONLY thing that stuck with you is yaoi?
You can't really stop a fandom from having shipping wars and such. If someone wants to focus on shipping, that's their business. -a shipper in the tsp fandom
Anyways! I figure that old man yaoi is more focused on than the game itself. And the game is queer coded. So I guess that's where the yaoi comes from.

People calling settings person “timekeeper” is infuriating. They do so much more than keep the time yet they’re minimised to one aspect
Settings person is a very interesting fellow when you deep dive into them. Timekeeper, to me, is just a nickname. Whatever you wanna call them: Settings person, Timekeeper, Employee 432. They're more than a name and they hold so much to the story of The Stanley Parable!
Or else it's like that meme.
"Timekeeper!"
"Not what I'm called!"

The fandom got so much worse when sad-ist started posting shit
I agreed. Even if the fandom have gotten much active/when I first joined, I've first handedly witnessed what the fandom side on Tiktok was like ever since they got a hold on Sad-ist work.
(ALSO message from The Blogger: I do NOT support Sad-ist.)

I feel dissapointed by the people who only seem to care about TSP's "funny"/meta aspect, and discard all the rest (the themes, worldbuilding, characters, attention to details...). Like not all of them are DEEP. But they are still worth something to me.
I'm convinced that if The Stanley Parable wasn't meant to be funny, it could be seem as psychological horror in a way. Having this voice in your head dictating and commenting on everything you do while you don't have a say and is powerless under his game.
But we need a couple laughs once in a while. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I understand why people like the Fandom small and I get that.
But at the same time I hate seeing fics I follow never get updated in months sometimes years. And less people write for tsp.
Like I miss when it was more active. Granted I know it's more chill small. But idk I just wish it was still nice to write for this fandom. Without feeling like you have to write for a trending one because of how small it is..
There's always someone that's gonna come out with something new. That someone could be you. maybe people feel the same way, you'll never know. There's always time for create something for a fandom you're passionate about and that goes for everyone in a fandom space!

i NEED more people in this fandom to play the original half-life 2 mod or at least watch gameplay of it because theres so many aspects to it that i personally believe it to be the perfect version of tsp obv im not saying other versions of tsp are bad! i love every tsp game, but i think the hl2 mod is the best in terms of atmosphere, visuals, the narrators tone, and how it conveys its point very clearly in its 30 or so minutes of gameplay, not to mentions how 2 glitches in the game are the reason why we now have the coward ending and the zending i can say so much more about it but i dont want this to be as much of a yap session as it already is but. please guys. play/watch the hl2 mod its so fucking awesome guys trust me
Once again breaking character to tweak out about this but like THE 2011 TSP HL MOD MENTIONED!! Oh my god I actually need to watch some gameplay about that again since [The Blogger] is hyperfixating on a subculture of Half Life and always knew that tsp was originally a HL mod.
ALSO, confession from [The Blogger]: The reason I first got into the fandom was because of the Tsp HL mod's version of the countdown ending. I know, biggest sin of this blog so far...
