(2/2) there's also bellas mental state in general. when i was mulling over this au of an au, i was thinking like. yknow it's like a vase that shattered and got glued back together, but all the pieces are in the wrong place. bella is… mostly still bella on the outside…

she constantly smiles and keeps her eyes (one or both, either is good :3) covered with the censored gift to not worry others, but her tiredness shows in her demeanor and thinking anyways lol. with her killing rein because of her corrosion, she feels like she cant truly trust herself*, and tends to mentally restrain herself/always be on-guard of herself just in case. and you can probably imagine how her self-worth and memories warp because of all of this… *being psychotic doesnt help, especially for this version of her lmao. im also undecided on how her symptoms change in this au… in general, her tired state does Not help her fight her anxieties/fears o7 (but on another note, the alternate actually stops being as much of a problem. by now, she resolves that she could kill her easily - and everything she's said, bella's probably already thought herself.)

and finally, a bonus section on "reinhardt!" (on a side note, he should get a better name… ive been calling him hallucinoreinhardt [from the naming i used for the other red-shoes-based au hallucination], but it could be better lol). his self-awareness causes him to shift/change to other people bella remembers - hod, her training team, her fc coworkers, etc - depending on his "mood," what hes saying, etc. etc. theres a tooon of ways to do this, in writing or art, so i put multiple appearances he could have in the art :3
