Idk why but I just,,, need some fluff at the moment because school has annihilated me. If requests are open (if not just ignore this!) could you please write about the type of hugs each of the MLQC boys give? Because I just feel like I could use a hug from one of them ya know? I love your writing btw it’s amazing!
Hey dear Anon, 💕
Thank you so much for your kind words, and I’m sorry to hear about your school situation! It would be my pleasure to sit back and daydream about the types of hugs each of the guys would give. I also need a bit of fluff and comfort after having my beating heart torn from my chest and stomped on by the latest chapters LOL. Hope school calms down for you soon, and here’s my take on how the boys would comfort you with a hug if you were feeling low or overwhelmed. Happy reading! 😊
In The Warmth Of His Embrace (MLQC Headcanon)

Victor:
Victor isn’t particularly touchy-feely, but when he does hug you, it is typically intense, passionate and sometimes bordering on overwhelming
They’re the types of embraces you are typically pulled into, when he senses that you’re trying to put up a brave front when everything inside feels like it is crumbling to dust
Strong, muscular arms, a broad chest and tall stature combine to result in embraces that completely envelop you to make you feel 100% safe and supported
When Victor says “Trust me, Dummy,“ when he says that things will turn out well and that everything will be ok, the strength of his embrace, the heat of his body and the conviction in his voice makes you believe
Victor’s embrace is: the subtle scent of burnt caramel, the inviting glow of a well-used kitchen, the cozy warmth of a full stomach…a black dress shirt so close their white pinstripes converge before your very eyes…seconds softly ticking away on a vintage timepiece…and “Dummy” whispered with heartbreaking affection in your ear.

Lucien:
Physical intimacy is very important to Lucien, and the man is always finding some excuse to touch you in some way, whether it’s brushing against your arm as he walks past, holding your hand during a stroll, or tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear
Many of your embraces start off with Lucien surprising you from behind — gently wrapping his arms around you, hands linked in front
Then, he’ll gently rub a thumb between your brows to smooth out the furrows as he asks, “What is our silly girl worried about now? Didn’t I tell you your problems are mine as well? We’ll come up with solutions together.”
And as he exhales deeply into your hair, his broad chest soothing against your back as it rose and fell with each breath, you feel the stress start to leave your body, tension seeping out of your pores
Because you know with Lucien by your side, genius that he is, nothing is insurmountable
Lucien’s embrace is: raindrops evaporating off blades of freshly cut grass and kites soaring in blue skies…a silver pen marked “X” in the pocket of a white lab coat…a dog-eared copy of The Little Prince…and fireflies blinking messages of love in luminescent morse.

Gavin:
Gavin is a bit shy when it comes to physical intimacy and always wants to make sure you’re comfortable with whatever he’s doing, even if he’s simply hugging you
Unless you’re the one to hold him first, he will typically ask for your permission (unless he’s feeling incredibly emotional, like when he’s riled up by intense jealousy)
Sensitive Gavin will notice right away that something is bothering you: “What’s wrong?”
He’ll lift a large hand and hesitate for a fraction of a second before placing it at the crown of your head, the warmth of his touch suffusing your body to loosen your lips as he gently tousles your hair
And when you finally tell him what’s been on your mind, he’ll step closer to wrap his arms around you, one hand tight about your waist as the other on your head gently guides it to rest against his hard chest, the rhythm of his heart comforting in your ear
“I’ll always be here to protect you from anything and everything. So just leave all your worries to me.”
Gavin’s embrace is: windblown denim and a warm hand tousling hair…a flash of silver on your wrist and the stars up close…ginkgo leaves dancing in the air to the accompaniment of a piano…and never leaving without saying goodbye.

Kiro:
Kiro’s embraces are plentiful and always at the ready
The superstar will place an arm around your shoulder, pulling you closer to his side as he ducks down to playfully peek into your eyes, his irises of brightest cerulean blue enchanting as he comically angles his head in an attempt to make you laugh
“Miss Chips, have you forgotten? You can tell me anything that’s bothering you. Nothing’s too hard for a hero like me to take care of, so let me have some of the glory this time!”
When he finally wraps both arms around you to draw you flush against his body, he’ll snuggle his face between your neck and shoulder, the warmth of his exhalation on your skin slowly melting the tension away
Kiro’s embrace is: green apple candy, sweet and sour on your tongue…sunshine in blue eyes and laughter in smiles…prodigious fingers flying across fretboards and keyboards…and heroes nestled in bags of chips, hiding in plain sight.

When I was a freshman, my sister was in eighth grade. There was a boy in two of her periods who would ask her out every single day. (Third and seventh period, if I remember correctly.) All day during third and seventh she would repeatedly tell him no. She didn’t beat around the bush, she didn’t lie and say she was taken–she just said no.
One day, in third period, after being rejected several times, he said; “I have a gun in my locker. If you don’t say yes, I am going to shoot you in seventh.”

Here's a subject I'm sure you guys aren't sick of yet: the "what if Nidhogg is right?" debate. This is how the argument usually goes: though Nidhogg himself just wants to use violence to harm other people, he's right in wanting to break the blood curse. Miraland's years of relative peace under the blood curse mean nothing when they come at the cost of the free will of its people. To some extent, this is all true.
However, I take issue with the idea that Nidhogg is a foil to Nikki, or that he and Nikki are somehow at opposite extremes on this debate. Nikki is an outsider to Miraland; she isn't genuinely pro-blood curse because she doesn't understand the blood curse. She didn't even know about it until chapter 14; her stand against Nidhogg was more about standing up to him on behalf of Lunar and Cloud City.
You know who is a foil to Nidhogg? The Lord (or Nanari, or Dark Bobo, or whatever you want to call her; I'm sticking with the Lord for simplicity's sake). In the Brave New World event, we saw the Lord attempt to bring her own vision of peace to Miraland: a world where everyone is trapped in their own dreams. When the Lord tells Nikki that things are better this way, that humans need to be controlled to keep them from harming each other, Nikki challenges that, too. Fundamentally, it's the Lord and Nidhogg who are on opposite ends of the spectrum, not Nikki. So where does Nikki fall?
First, I want to bring up another recurring theme of the game: that war is hell. Some time after Lunar's death, we learn that the reason that there were no troops defending Cloud City was because, instead of protecting the city, General Huo chose to raze the lands in the North army's way to slow them down and keep them from getting supplies. While Nidhogg himself is also unquestionably a war criminal, and the war in general was an unprovoked attack on his part, this shows that during war, even the "good guys" will do whatever they have to do to survive. There can be no moral high ground if you wish to win.
This theme appears again in the story of Blood Moon, an ancient war between elves and kindred. While it would be easy enough to say that the kindred were evil and in the wrong, it's stated that by the time the war ended, both sides were guilty. I don't think it's a coincidence that we're learning more about this conflict in the main story right now; there's a direct parallel between the Blood Moon war and the current war.
So, what do Nidhogg and the Lord have in common despite their ideological differences? Though they've drawn different conclusions from it, they both believe humans are inherently evil. Nidhogg simply thinks it's disingenuous to pretend a "peace" achieved by taking away one's ability to harm others is real, while the Lord thinks this is proof that humans can never be trusted to govern themselves, as they will only destroy each other. But Miraland's history shows that this simply isn't true, because there is no meaningful definition of "evil". Even if a war starts out as 100% one side's fault, both will be guilty by the end, because that's the nature of war. Nikki distinguishes herself from both of them because she believes that, while some people may do evil acts, you can't claim that all people, or even any particular person, is evil.
So what does this mean, going forward? I would not be surprised if, by the end of the story, the blood curse is broken, but that's not because I think Nidhogg is right. The blood curse was a temporary solution, and an imperfect one: Elle, initially presented as the primary antagonist of the game, is just a symptom of the problems that it causes. I also think that, tying in with the theme of being able to choose to do good instead of evil, some villain character(s) may be redeemed (*cough* Shade/Flynn *cough*). But overall, I think that trying to boil down the themes of Love Nikki into "idealism vs realism"/"Nikki vs Nidhogg" fundamentally misses an entire dimension of the problem.
