HIII!  I’ve missed you, too!  OMG, excuse me while I dive head-first into your blog.

Hey, simmers! Man, I’ve missed you guys! I hate that I pretty much fell off the face of tumblr like six+ months ago, but my game just hasn’t been working right and I lost all motivation. I would love to come back with a new story on a smaller scale in hopes that I can keep my game running again. Any suggestions for a small roadless world I can use for a medieval setting? I’m so out of touch. How is everyone? ❤️

FIELD OF CLOTH AND GOLD

495 years ago on June the 7th 1520, on the Feast of Corpus Christi, Henry VIII and Francois I of France met on what became known as the “Field of Cloth and Gold”. The name was given for the magnificence of the event. Henry VIII ordered a temporal construction which was named the “palace of illusions”. The meeting was held outside Calais, on the Golden Vale, between the English held town of Guisnes and the French town of Andres. As the day began, the cannons boomed signaling the t…wo Kings’ arrivals. Both were dressed for the occasion in gold and silver and heavily bejeweled. 

After they dismounted, the two embraced each other and walked side by side into the French King’s pavilion. There, “they greeted each other like truly well intentioned people, and then with evident satisfaction talked together in friendly fashion until evening”. Outside their courtiers were toasting to the meeting, chanting: “English and French: good friends!”

So I’m playing around with editing the texture on this dress but for some reason that section around the waist won’t take the texture.  The mask layer is also full in that area, so I’m utterly befuddled by this.  I’m a total newb at this so maybe you guys can shed some light on this for me?

Catherine prayed at Arthur’s side through the night, still hopeful he would survive.

Oh, my sweet Catherine.. Arthur’s voice so faint as if the light of life had been drained from his body.  I’m dying.

No, Arthur, it’s not possible.  She tried to argue, but he was convinced.  She could see it in his eyes.  He had given up.

I’m weak, Cat.  I’m sorry I couldn’t be stronger for you.  Please don’t allow my death to be the end of your life as well.

Catherine couldn’t bare to look at him.  Please, you can’t leave me.

You will make a wonderful queen someday.  You were born for that purpose.  Please see to it that our dreams are realized.  Be the monarch I can’t be.

But.. she contested, though Arthur continued.

For my sake.. let me die knowing you will go on to love again, wed, bare children, and rule our kingdom the way we intended to rule together.  Bring this realm the strength and compassion I know is abundant in your heart.

I love you.  Although whispered, the power and truth behind her sentiment was obvious in her tear filled eyes.

Contrary to the advice of all the physicians that attended Catherine through her illness, she was determined to see her husband.  So there they were in the darkness of the room they once shared and dreamed of their future, both sickly and weak, vowing once more to be at each other’s side through sickness and in health.  Catherine’s fever was subsiding, but she could still feel the heat on Arthur’s skin as they held hands.

I promise I will get you well, my love.  The Lord has heard my prayers and you will be saved.  I know in my heart we still have many years together.  We have so much to do.

Cinderella’s Chateau

Still very much a work in progress, but I think I’ve finished the front facade.

Côtes d'Ambonnay with the Frozen lighting mod is the perfect setting for Cinderella.  Ella’s Chateau (WIP) can be seen in the foreground.

Working on a castle for my Cinderella save.  It’s based on Neuschwanstein Castle which is said to be the castle Disney based their Cinderella castle on.
