“When things go wrong, you’ll find they usually go on getting worse for some time; but when things start going right they often go on getting better and better.”
— C.S. Lewis, The Magician’s Nephew (via thoughtkick)

The pain became too much
I took a a pill to drown it out
Chased it with a shot of whiskey
For good measure the whole pot
You can’t tell me this isn’t real
It’s killing me and killing you too
We run and run to nothing else
Here I stand face turning blue
Take what I have. It’s yours
Rip me apart it doesn’t matter
I’ll give it again tomorrow night
Keep on moving with the chatter
At the end of the fucking day
When the sky turns fucking gray
I’ll take your dreams and fucking slay
Them all down in fucking play
Another somber night alone
To each their own stupid home
I lie awake and softly moan
The names of all those homes
The lines we spoke and lived
The rancid lives we shived
The souls of nothing
Never having lived.
To each their own.
To me alone
To those that rise
Skin and bone
Leave me.
Like this.
Forever alone

Eye on the Milky Way : Have you ever had stars in your eyes? It appears that the eye on the left does, and moreover it appears to be gazing at even more stars. The featured 27-frame mosaic was taken last July from Ojas de Salar in the Atacama Desert of Chile. The eye is actually a small lagoon captured reflecting the dark night sky as the Milky Way Galaxy arched overhead. The seemingly smooth band of the Milky Way is really composed of billions of stars, but decorated with filaments of light-absorbing dust and red-glowing nebulas. Additionally, both Jupiter (slightly left the galactic arch) and Saturn (slightly to the right) are visible. The lights of small towns dot the unusual vertical horizon. The rocky terrain around the lagoon appears to some more like the surface of Mars than our Earth. via NASA
