yea slade listens to creep but not in the same way rose does she gets it she really gets it.

There are two wolves inside me one wolf says rose Wilson is cocky and confident and charming, taking off that slightly off putting but friendly/manipulative chatty aspect of Deathstroke who does stupid things without question and does everything without hesitation in general

The other Wolf says yeah rose Wilson strives to be like that and good but she is just so strange, everyone who meets her is just off -put period. She doesn’t know how to be normal all her social cues are from a sixty year old man who didn’t guide her to anything during her developmental years besides training and his beers and Johnny cash, she painfully stands out when working with other, she joins the titans doesn’t eat with them because she just can’t participate in the conversation normally

The compromise to this that rose is a freak but just learns how to imitate her dad completly, both wolves agree that rose is way more creep Radiohead coded then slade will ever be .

my opinions on rose wilson ships:

rose + jason: listen, this is great, they are fun! I enjoy them in a they are toxic and off an on and very bad for each other, every single wilson and wayne sufferers when they are temporarily together, in my universe they'reboth not publically with each other since they are both ashamed of the other ! (casual by Chappell, please please please by sabrina, get him back by oliva coded and so on) they go back to each other in an awful rebound way and I love that for them! rose + cassie: I don't know enough but I do love gay people, my fav interpretation of this fic was talks with dad on a03 I highly recommend. i think it wouldn't work long time and would be similarly on and off, I also think cassie wouldn't be able to tolerate rose for that long they just have a lot of tension rose + cass RAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH. similar backstory, ended up following different paths still? parallel but in love?? doomed yuri??? they are perfect. i have read a few fics with rose becoming deathstroke and cass becoming batman and them being sort of like a reincarnated batcat and I LOVE IT. i have been working on a fic for them that would be like them vs the league and they can only trust each other both built to be weapons rose + phantom-one first of all, phantom-one is my pookie, he needs more pagetime ASAP. secondly I think this is the most healthy relationship rose could be in and I'm so mad she wasnt' included in phantom's original 'no more teachers' arc. r u kidding me?? the backstory??? the abandonment???? also the fact that slade really had nothing to do with this relationship unlike the other ones like phantom could really just see rose as who she is without the influence of slade which I think is sweet since he holds such a negative energy over literally all of her other relationships and I think that's so cutesy rose + eddie she did him dirty that's all I'm gonna say, he's a sweetie and couldn't handle all that I fear

I think a really cool dc comic would be rose vs Damian cause it would be like part two of Deathstroke and the titans but also it explores both of their generational traumas and the fear of becoming like their parents and how nightwing was there for both of them and they both go a little insane and then it doesn’t really get resolved it just haunts the narrative

deeply important to me that dick & rose have the most uncomfortable relationship in the world... despite the positive connotations of having their own relationships with joey and roy (bc the slade of it all cannot be overshadowed)... like can they rely on each other in world-ending scenarios? yes of course... they fight well together too considering dick was the one who partially 'trained' her. they'll never ignore an sos from each other... but there's just this unnerving level of discomfort around each other because they saw each other at their worst and neither of them are the type of people to forget that. it's not distrust, exactly, but an absence of trust. and they're both aware of it!!! although, rose is the one to double down on it and/or call dick out for it... dick is the kind of guy to internalize it and blame himself because to a certain extent, he enabled the time rose spent under slade and that leads to a terrible amount of guilt. rose refuses to let dick martyr himself on her cross because she made those choices and yes, they were under false information and intentions, but she was the one to make them and dick doesn't get to take that away. so they're just viscerally uncomfortable around each other and they can't talk about it because they won't talk about it so they just exist in this perpetual stalemate where they're both a reminder of some of the worst moments of their lives to each other (and this is not even getting into the joey of it all... forever a haunting... her brother who she never knew, who was killed in front of dick by her father... the resentment and blame and guilt... it's all so delicious)
