the fall from grace hadn't really been an easy one for him. he felt alone really. dropping from popularity really did mean dropping his 'friends' or so they claimed they were. but it was really everything with his dad - telling him to fuck off ; that he was going to be his own person for once - really did the trick. wesley didn't understand why he was still invited to these parties ( better yet why he still attended ). but here he was - alone in his little corner until another approached him. "ah... yeah." was all he said. he appreciated it , honestly. the former jock was silent for the longest time. "this party kinda blows..." he admitted.

"just an oil change?" wesley was slightly relieved. he thought any moment , his car would blow up. maybe he needed to take care of it better... but he knew shit all to keeping maintenance on it. he was taught that money could easily make a problem go away. yeah - like that did any good when it came to his dad now in fucking jail. wes shifted from one foot to the other. "um..." his nose scrunched up slightly. "where exactly... do you... put the oil?" god.. he felt so fucking dumb about his own car. maybe he should just hire billy to be his private mechanic? nah... that would just make him seem like an even more privileged douchebag... a heavy sigh came from him. "i'm... sorry." why was he apologizing? "my dad or my uncle usually took the beast in...." wesley just liked how pretty he looked behind the wheel. and it was a flex when he was in his high and mighty era.

Hawkins was still Hawkins but Billy wasn't still the same old Billy. Enough time had passed between him and his own personal demons that he had a new perspective on things. A second chance at life and the ability to live and not merely survive. It was crazy how not being primed for being attacked on the daily really changed his fucking demeanor. None of that shit before meant much. It was all a façade and an attempt for normalcy. If he could have no control over anything else in his life at least let him try to rule these pricks who didn't know shit else than their money and privilege. A silly waste of him time but it had kept him afloat. "I'm not the same either." He has grease on his pants and a wrench in hand. "Shit's just grindin'. All you need is some motor oil. Thankfully they isn't a difficult thing to do. Just keep an eye on it and if it clicks too soon again, probably got a leak somewhere."

"yeah well - they were my team to." until they weren't. wesley froze in place at jason's words. light brows furrowing together. "used to be fun? pushing kids into lockers - being above everyone else was fun?" a scoff and he brought the rim of the beer can to his lips. did he enjoy being top of the food chain at hawkins high? yes... he wouldn't deny that. but now he was just consumed by guilt of how he treated people weaker than him. "at the end of the day - are you even happy , carver?" it was a serious question - one he had asked the day before he decided to be himself. the day he decided to tear away the mask of hawkin's golden child. he was tried of being in his dad's shadow.

He didn't know what was the other's problem. Jason hadn't bothered to try to figure it out either. Wes had been on the team and one day he wasn't. They all had their own things going on and Jason consumed with keeping up his own image and popularity - something he liked because he was good at it, something that provided him certain social luxuries. Was there any issue with being top of the food chain as the a de jure leader? He peers over when the other speaks to him. Does he like them? Did it even matter? "They're my team. We're all aiming for the same things. Winning." Comradery was enough. "And you? What's your hang up, man? You used to be fun."

wesley had come to rick's place to try to buy - completely forgetting that rick was in jail and he hadn't heard anything from eddie all night! he'd called and called but nothing. what he wasn't expecting was eddie finally showing up and pushed him inside lipton's place! the former jock stumbled backwards - falling flat on his ass. "believe you?" he pushed himself off the floor , dusting tight jeans off. "what the fuck is going on.... are you about to cry , munson?"

"Shit you scared me!" Eddie wasn't expecting to run into Wesley at Rick's place. He was trying to catch his breath. "You won't believe me." Eddie threw Wesley inside before anyone saw them hanging around Rick's place. He locked the door, leaving the lights off. Terror was still present on Eddie's face. He was trying to hold back tears from the fear inside him.
