i know Vis and Emissa, Vismissa, has absolutely no fans, and that is fair bc she comes off underbaked compared to the other main characters.

my theory is that all the meat of their relationship was meant to happen post exam, y'know after she stabs him, and Vis is all jaded. them being exes is, like, this interesting backstory to launch the real arc of the relationship off of.

like Emissa is so flat and boring compared to his other friends i have to believe this. the first glimpse we get into whats going on with her is when she stabs him. that's when her character kind of snaps into a place where it starts to feel as realized as the rest. and it comes so late in the story because Islington wanted what was going on with her to be a surprise.

so i do think Emissa will grow to be an interesting character as the rest of them. i believe in the potential of a Vismissa. who ever said constant lying, and attempted murder couldn't make a romance interesting,

mad respect to james islington for having such a hard woke filter on his prose. so hard that Vis has been clocked as bi by many people. which is an accurate reading because Vis is drinking so much respect women juice he actually doesn't know what Emissa looks like from the neck down. Eidhin tho, is a beefcake, and props to islington for letting Vis see that.

despite the woke filter. we get three female manipulators. Belli I see you and honestly i love a bitch. Emissa you seem nice but i'm still holding out hope your about to be the worlds worst ex girlfriend, and on that condition you and Vis can get back together. Relucia my queen of deception I believe in you, and I know you are secretly also manipulating scarface.

Ulciscor had weirdly high expectations, for his extremely mid plan to: blackmail a random teenager into figuring out how his brother died. His success was thanks to his parents, arrange marrying him off to his problematic-age-gap-terrorist-wife (because he was making the family broke) who happened to be the talent scout of all time.
