Haven't posted in forever woops- Anyway have a little thing about young Flint meeting Buneary for the first time !

Their first meeting sure was something haha, that buneary's fierce and won't hesistate to steal those nice berries Flint was carrying !

After Flint battles and catches her, they'll get along soon enough and form a strong bond with time !

Various somewhat angsty stuff

(rotated the concept of Volkner and Flint conflict for so long in my head and yet could never bring myself to draw it fully so this is all you'll get)

Sick Volkner, his bestie take care of him (Cynthia gives Flint a recipe for him to cook a healthy meal). I'm normal about that

You know what, might be the last occasion to do so until a long while so you can have a few thoughts about Volkner/Flint conflict under cut

I rarely draw it but I do think about angsty situations sometimes

I think some conflict between these two happen because Flint wants Volkner to open up more about his feelings.

Like, I think they are very honest to each other, but I like to think Volkner still be bottling up stuff and keeping it inside to a certain degree.

And I think Flint knows Volkner too well to know when something's wrong but the guy wouldn't tell a thing. Doesn't that make you want to shake it out of him ?

Wonder if on Volkner's side there's this "Why do you care so much ?" thought, like maybe there's some stuff he'd rather not share because he doesn't wanna bother with that but Flint knows him too well to not notice even when Volk wished he wouldn't notice. Sometimes people know you too well, it's a little unnerving. And it looks so easy for Flint, to be so open about everything, when it's not for him, at least not about everything.

Something like that

That's a classic but thinking about how Flint leaving Sunyshore to train while Volkner remains there impacts their relationship is interesting.

Do you think Volkner feels left behind in a way. Not quite abandonned, but it's just the way Flint shines so bright, he always seems fearless, he always takes a step forward, which makes him always a step...behind...?

Like that's my own view but Flint is like Brave incarnate to me, not even scared of Emotional Vulnerability like damn, he's just such a great guy ??? And this great guy who keeps going forward never stopped caring

I only now remember that when I drew sick Volk, I had the "Why do you care so much ?" thought in mind. Maybe, just maybe, sometimes Volkner thinks Flint should leave him behind and just go forward as he always do

Flint may be an idiot but GODDAMIT VOLKNER sometimes you are too

As I am sure that to Flint, moving forward will always mean together with Volkner
