So I always see that people are always saying that Beatrix was always neglecting reiji and ignoring him and it showed that too in the anime. I’m replaying Reiji’s route in more blood and he said she’s always trying to be a good mother and she’s “fulfilling her maternal duties”. I haven’t seen anyone address this yet but I also haven’t really looked into it. But I think Reiji hated his mother because she was always saying he’d be Shu’s “right hand man” and putting Shu above Reiji as the heir. Reiji despised Shu bc he was always running from his responsibilities and also said he was trying to act like a human, whome Reiji looks down on bc they’re prey and he believes that’s pretty much all they’re good for. So through his hate for Shu, it caused him to despise Beatrix for constantly praising Shu and putting Shu above Reiji for being older and the heir. Plus I don’t think he believed Shu deserved the praise and attention from anyone bc he did nothing to deserve it.

Idk I was replaying the route and I started thinking about it lmao. Just wanted to share my thoughts with everyone :)
