this is genuinely one of the reasons I love official and promo art as well. It's so nice to see the characters outside of the plot, being genuine people enjoying their lives. It's the reason I actually don't mind filler, cuz who the hell wants to be faced with the plot's trauma all the time??? (looking at you JJK..)

There's a lot to be told about the characters while they're doing the work they have to do, BUT there's also a lot to be told about the characters while they're having fun.

One of my favourite things to do in the Ace Attorney wiki is to go to phoenix' or Edgeworth's character and take a look at the promo art in the image gallery.

There's just something about seeing all the characters hanging out together without having to worry about another trial or murder, and just being together as friends such as this one for example

I'm finally done

i kinda forget my social media exists sometimes so like i'm really late but happy valentines day!! i don't have any special drawing for the occasion, all i got for valentines day was a trip to the doctor (got my ears cleaned) and an invitation by my mom to watch Hamilton and sing along because she wanted my dad to see (i delivered) but that's okay because i wouldn't have it any other way fr. I'm rediscovering the world and the sounds i've long forgotten exist but my ears are now really sensitive to loud noises again. But anyway! Today I'm here to show three of my characters. In the first two pictures we have Sotansho (first in a special outfit, not her main design, and second in her school uniform)! She's a Student Council very studious, and though her grades won't tell you this, she actually sucks at math. She also has a special connection to the moon which is where her white hair and blue eyes come from. In fact, her brother is currently LIVING on the moon as its guardian, which her mother used to be too. She really looks up to her brother and she misses him dearly, but not to worry, for when she needs him most, he'll be sure to arrive. And if not, well, she'll always have her girlfriend!! She also probably has some magical powers or something idk yet she isn't my most developed character cuz i kinda have to play by Shay's rules for this universe.

Next up are Sotansho's friends, Vinnie and Vinyl! (Vinnie is the short haired one on the right, and Vinyl the long haired one on the left)

I'll be honest they are even LESS developed than Sotansho. I mean at least she has a personality, strengths and weaknesses, and a story, but damn Vinnie and Vinyl don't have much of that. So I'm very excited to work more on what they're like! They're twins, shocker I know, and they really enjoy fashion. Honestly i didn't even mean to make Vinnie look so playful, she was supposed to be the more shy one of the two, but I kind of do like this development. Vinnie does strike me as a playful name, personally. So perhaps, Vinyl can be the more mature and, I guess subdued(?) of the two. I do perceive her as the older one, so I think that fits quite nicely.

But that's not to say that she won't engage in any playful banter or theatrics; she and Vinnie love to have fun together! Vinyl just knows when to stop better than Vinnie does. They're constantly inviting Sotansho to let loose and maybe go to a party with them, since Sotansho's always studying. And they're sure to be the first to find out about Sotansho's new rebellious girlfriend!

I'm excited to build their story some more, and don't worry, Sotansho's brother has a story of his own. In fact, I created him before I created Sotansho, but it seems I've started to favor her. But how can I not, when she's the one I can rely on to pull me out of my art block? She's truly great, and fun to draw!

I realize now that it would probably make sense to post this since it is my banner It's fairly old but it just so happens to be one of my favorite drawings, depicting my oc, Layla, and my friends oc, Orpheus! They have received redesigns since this was made, so I may consider redrawing it sometime in the future. Who knows!!
