Let's talk about Azrael.

Azrael is...lying about her age. She's actually hundreds of years old (around 500 or more), from a curse of her own making or something else outside of her own control she won't say.

Back on her old world (now lost to darkness forever), Azrael was a zealot, worshipping gods and acting as a good samaritan for those visiting or lost in their ways. However her faith was ultimately shattered when her world was lost to the darkness.

Azrael & Diana have a VERY long history together but ultimately her first creation toying with the hearts and heartless, creating life out of it, drove her away...however Azrael continued her research on the heartless, using it to gain control of the creatures and the darkness. (As well as drive her further into insanity because she wanted Diana's approval with her work, which she'd never get.)

Azrael is. OBSESSED. with Diana and it stems from her admiration of her and her work. Wanting nothing more than her approval or to reach her level but after Diana's death at her hands, Azrael's obsession turned to the one person who resembled her in EVERY way- Diana's youngest daughter, Lettie. And she will do whatever it takes to break her down to join her at her side.

Her control over the darkness rivals that of Maleficent. She's VERY skilled and because of that it's gotten her quite the following of various people & creatures. However, Azrael's not afraid to use them as her own experiments. If they disappoint her, betray her, or fail to follow her instructions- she will use their corpse to create new heartless or new creations of her design. Sometimes she WILL keep them alive so they feel every single syringe, slice, and spell used to disfigure them.

Azrael is after Diana's grimoire, which is in possession of Diana's youngest daughter Lettie. Having killed the former owner, Azrael proceeded to integrate herself into the Breton family as their 'aunt'- love bombing and manipulating the girls when she felt it right. She WILL do whatever it takes to get that Grimoire.

Azrael gave the boy a glance before shrugging and looking at her nails.

A mistake he says. She could feel her eyes roll all the way to the back of her skull with that statement.

"You say that now but don't deny the power you felt...you liked it." She finally spoke up and glanced at him again.

"Darkness, light- are they really that different, child?" Azrael waved a hand and she found herself lounging against it. "Without one, the other won't exist after all. Did you think I'd have sympathy for you over what YOU did on your OWN accord? If that was the case why didn't you cry to that child you call a 'friend', Sora? Was that his name~?" Azrael felt a smile forming on her lips.

"...I'm shocked you aren't relying on them more, really. Instead you came crawling....to me~" She pointed a blackened hand at herself, mock shock on her face.

"Don't tell me you want to come back...~"

knowing Azrael has mutilated and modified countless heartless under the guise of research but to also act as her subjects to manipulate and liquidate for personal use.

She'll kill her own followers, she'll use them in experiments, she'll backstab her 'friends'- Azrael will really truly stop at nothing to get what she wants.
