The reason why I can only really see Kevaaron in a platonic hookup friends with benefits kind of way is that it is just really them choosing to do that. Kevin’s codependancy with Andrew is instinctual, his obsession with Neil’s potential is something he needs, he desperately has to have for his own continued survival but with Aaron all of that…. bone-deep need I guess? Is barely there.

Like a major part of my kevaaron dynamic IS literally the fact that there’s no drama or chaos between them. Kevin can melodramatically scream at Andrew about Exy and Andrew can drag Kevin away from intensive practise and panic attacks and then he can go just inside and do video games and bitch about cleaning the dorm with Aaron. They can fuck and it’s easy and simple and fufils a need. Aaron isn’t obsessed with The Kevin Day, he’s only vaugely attracted to him to begin with and their friendship is never disrupted.

The thing is that andrew killing tilda was the equivalent of a cat killing a mouse and dropping it at your feet, only the twins were raised as different creatures speaking different languages so instead of seeing it as the act of love and devotion it was aaron reacts with anger and disgust and fear and andrew reacts pretty much like a cat that has brought you a mouse and got kicked for his troubles aka cold resentment and faux indifference yk?
