Reclaimed/Repurposed Wood Projects
We recently moved into a new home and we brought with us our hoard of scrap wood and pallets. After a few months we were finally settled in, and our wood pile had grown along with our family; I had given birth to twins, a boy and a girl, about a month after we moved. When we were finally in a good spot, Cory and I turned our attention to our mountain of wood and set about repurposing it.
Cory had plans for tables and decor for his soon-to-be-open brewpub in Atlanta’s blossoming West End, and i had visions of Pinterest-worthy shelves and wall hangings for our children’s rooms. To date, the following few projects have been accomplished for the house (I’ll leave the brewpub’s projects off of here, so you’ll just have to visit it to see those):
Lochlan’s Moose

Kid’s Room Shelves

In my next post I’ll pick one of those projects and break it down for you, with pictures and my step-by-step process.

Hello there, interwebs
Trying new things for the new year involves this...tumblr. The social media site I have long admired but never gotten the hang of. As you can tell from my older posts, it’s been quite a while since I gave this a go. Well, hello there 2018 & tumblr, my name is Suzanne.
I’m a 38 year old mother of three under two. A one and a half year old son, and twin boy and girl just about to hit 4 months. They consistently try to commit suicide. I, or their father, consistently save them. They do it so well that sometimes I forget about the saving part and try to help them leave this world (usually by dropping them or leaving them in a precarious spot, like the edge of the sofa, or, in the case of our toddler, letting him run on the couch until he falls off and knocks his head), and that’s when my I-Couldn’t-Do-This-With-Anyone-Else baby daddy (we’re not married and there’s really no good term for us) steps in and saves the day.
So there’s a bit about me. Not really, though, it’s more a bit about my family. But you get the point. Well, interwebs, there it is. My first tumblr post.
I have no idea what I’m doing.
(Do you hashtag here? I hate that I live in a world with hashtags and I hate that I have come to terms with it. Oh, wait, I just noticed the friggin pound sign at the bottom here...damn.)
