This mod adds five missing skill classes to various rabbitholes around town and enables additional skill classes to be discounted in the newspaper.

It was built and tested on 1.69 but should work fine on 1.67.

Twinsiming_New Skill Classes is a script mod that can be placed in your Packages folder.

Twinsimming_Additional Skill Class Discounts is a tuning mod that can be placed in your Overrides folder.

Hello. I hope all is well with you. I like your spin class and yoga mods, speaking of which, I thought that I would float a related idea your way. I just floated the idea to olomaya a few minutes ago. Anyway, the idea was for a martial art instructor mod, where a skilled sim can teach a class to a group of sims. Maybe the classes could be held at the gym, or even at a park. It's just an idea and I thought that maybe between you and olomaya, a collaboration might happen? Hi, Twin! I love your mods, and I was wondering if you’d ever consider making a mod kinda like the Sims 4 school projects? Like where kids and teens get little take-home assignments they can work on, maybe with their parents/siblings or alone, and it could affect their school performance? I feel like it would add so much more depth to the gameplay. Just a thought!

Hey Twin! I was wondering if you'd ever try converting/creating some sims 3 cc from the console version to pc, (the sims 3 pets on Xbox 360 to be more exact) If so I would love for you to create the 'Rustic Log Cabin, Pet Edition' it is quite possibly the cutest dog house I have ever seen and its a big miss from the pc version of the game :(

Hey Twin! Thank you for breathing new life into TS3! <3. I am noticing two issues with the Lawn care mod: A) Child+ Toddlers are able to spray weeds, and tend to the lawn leading to some weird stretching but its honestly so funny+ no biggie LOL. B) I played with one household and did not clean the lawn, then switched (w NRAAS MC) to another household, and when I pressed tend lawn on the 2nd household, once they finish cleaning their lawn, they went to clean the lawn of the first household's lot.

URGENT COMMISSIONS

Tldr: I'm being kicked out and don't have enough for a new place

As if the stress from an unpaid commission wasn't enough, my landlord decided today that we need to leave the place so he can sell it more conveniently (the flat is on sale for 6 months as for now). I'm just crying at this point. I have to find new room to rent by the end of the month and I don't have enough for a security payment, that will be around 250 dollars. I was able to save only 100 (since I was fired from my job after I developed severe POTS or MS, I still don't know because without a job I don't have insurance and no money to get a diagnosis from own pocket. And to this day live on gigs and my partner' support (he is not able to cover the security payment), unable to find a stable remote job). I can make the payment, but I will have literally no money for food for half a month

Lawn Care by Twinsimming 🍃

This mod spawns weeds on home lots for sims to tend.

This is a script mod that can be placed in your Packages folder. It was built and tested on 1.69 but should work fine on 1.67.

Requirements

This mod requires The Sims 3: Seasons and The Sims 3: University Life.

Overview

New Moodlets

Weed Spawning

At 10:00am every day, there is a 10% chance that between 5 and 20 weeds will spawn on a sim’s home lot. 

For each weed spawned, there is also a chance that common insects will spawn with them.

Sims will get the custom Overgrown moodlet if they go outside and there are weeds present on their lot. This moodlet will go away once all of the weeds are removed.

Neat, Snob, Perfectionist, and Hates the Outdoors sims will be more affected by weeds than other sims.

Slob and Loves the Outdoors sims will be less affected by weeds than other sims.

After 4 days, if there are more than 5 weeds on a home lot, the Neighborhood Homeowners Association will give your household a warning. If the weeds are not removed within 24 hours following the warning, the household will be fined §150 (tunable).

If there are more than 20 weeds on a lot at one time, additional weeds won’t spawn until some of the existing ones are removed.

Note: Weeds will not spawn on home lots with Public Room Markers (ex: high-rise apartments).

Weed Removal

There are two methods for getting rid of weeds: removing and spraying.

Remove Weeds

Weeds can be removed from a lot one at a time with the “Remove Weed” interaction.

Sims with the Loves the Outdoors, Green Thumb, Excitable, and Easily Impressed traits will get a custom Fresh Grass positive moodlet when removing weeds.

Sims at least Level 1 in the Gardening Skill will get a skill bump from removing weeds.

The “Tend Lawn” interaction on weeds queues a sim to remove all weeds present on a lot, similar to the "Tend Garden" interaction for plants.

However, removing weeds this way has a high chance of triggering a sim's allergies and giving them the Allergy Haze moodlet.

Spray Weeds

Alternatively, sims can use the “Spray Weeds” interaction to remove up to 10 weeds at a time.

This weed removal method has a 30% chance of turning your sim into a PlantSim, similar to The Sims 2: Seasons.

New Moodlets

Overgrown: Given when weeds spawn on a sim’s home lot, lasts until all weeds are removed from, -15 mood

Fresh Grass: Given when a sim with the Loves the Outdoors, Green Thumb, Excitable, or Easily Impressed trait removes a weed, lasts 1 hour, +10 mood

Hi! I hope it’s okay to ask! I’m converting a fireplace from ts4 to ts3 and it won’t show in game. I’ve managed to convert alot of objects and builditems but this model I struggle with alot. I saw your post Keep Warm Collection (love the items) and noticed that you expressed that it was complicated to get the fireplaces working as they should. Have you any tutorial or tips on how to do it? I would be so so grateful! ☺️🙏🏼

The trick with fireplaces is to export them from TSRW as .sims3packs and then use Delphy's Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter to convert those .sims3packs to .package files!
