- Mind Doodles -
Patience, Care, Mindfulness - for a long time these were nothing but words for me. Not substantial, not measurable, not important. Until life has challenged me to integrate them into my perspectives and made them an essential part of my inner intuition. In war with myself I experienced the deep interconnectedness between body and mind. Two inseparable units - dedicated to be in peace - rebelling and fighting against each other, overwhelmed with anger, confusion and fear. Over years I have been stuck in thoughts of having unlimited power over my body and mind. Of being able to control one with the other. Not realizing that all strength and energy I needed was created by both parts, being in balance. It was only a matter of time until life would let this construct of instability start crumbling. Slowly my idea of a body-soul individuality would start melting, taking shape of an infinite circle of elements, constantly being in interaction with each other. Over years my body has spoken a language that I didn’t understand, mostly dominated by a stubborn mind only intending to adapt fast and function efficiently. In a world that’s based on competition and power that’s surely tempting to do. On my way to acceptance I have been on my knees, walking in the dark through judgement, sadness and fear. I’m on the path creating a healthy relationship with and between my body and soul. And it’s still a long way to go. Yet, I learned to see, to realize and reflect. The solution doesn’t lie in suppressing negative feelings and fighting against them - neither physically nor mentally. The key is to treat them with kindness and start letting them be a part of you. Accept and Respect. Create a thought of things being a process, developing in time and let them be. Reality is impermanent. Present is now. Be there, not further, not behind. Don’t try to catch and hold onto something that’s not meant to be. There’s no point in explaining or categorizing. Breathe in - perceive, absorb, feel. Breath out - and let go. See what has changed - inside and outside.

Important realization of social psychology: Certain existing principles in society practice the function of defining our motives and actions. Performance proportionality for example, which paradoxically is a theory of justice, leads to us competing with fellow human beings, in order to receive an individual advantage. While principles of equality and need, on the contrary, focus on cooperative and caring behaviour. It is important to mention that the specific principle also sets out the context in a social structure. Hence, if there’s a performance-oriented condition, people tend to enforce selfish interests, while equality and need-orientations arrange more humanity, mindfulness and mutuality.

M O N D A Y S • A U C K L A N D Words can't describe how happy and utterly excited I felt when I first walked through the doors of this place. To me, it wasn't simply a work place. It truly was an inspiration giving me this tingling feeling of exploring a new world and a completely different kind of lifestyle. It seems like some kind of peacefulness is surrounding the walls of Mondays. However it's even more shocking when you have a look behind the scenes and realise it sadly is not like that at all. Already after a short period of time i found myself not making any progress, being stuck in unhappiness and frustration. And for me that's a clear sign to move on. I definitely leave this place with a sad and happy face, yet with many lessons learned, knowing it's for the best. I urge you to always go through life with two open eyes, be conscious and honest to yourself and other people. Read between the lines, be critical, yet trusting - simply find your balance and own middle path. Don't be afraid to also see the bad sides or feel anger sometimes. Every feeling you feel will in the end teach you about yourself - your fears, your personal boundaries and limits. Keep your mind busy but also find your inner peace and be open for signs being showed to you - it'll lead you to beautiful conclusions and decisions. Be in love with life, be silly and make mistakes. Yet, never stop improving, learning and don't be afraid of changes. Let go of things that don't make you happy and move on. Always keep in mind that everything here is in it's right place and will happen how it's supposed to. So keep being you and be grateful. Show appreciation, awareness and acceptance towards yourself and other people 🌸🕉 - day 397 -

There’re times where words simply cannot describe how much appreciation and gratitude you’re feeling for this incredible life. I’m overwhelmed with happiness and love for this beautiful country and every single person who’s making life here as magnificent as it is. My heart is overflowing full of joy and excitement towards the next four months and everyone I’ll be sharing them with. Honorably grateful for every second NZ is letting me stay here longer than actually planned. Life is so beautiful, it’s blowing my mind 🌞🌈🍀✨ To those who I love and miss: I’m sending tons of love and happiness your way xx

A M P H O E . M A E . W A N G • C H I A N G . M A I Yesterday i volunteered at a brilliant project for the Chiang Mai Elephant Sanctuary, Thailand where elephants are rescued from a life of misery, which no animal should ever have to endure. It was a real eye opener to what goes on and what they go through to meet the wants of humans. I, like alot of people were reduced to tears at how horrific the treatment of these animals is. I urge you to not go elephant trekking, or go to circuses or to give money to people who beg using elephants. Elephants also suffer whilst working in the logging trade. Surely if you love elephants and want to be close to them, volunteer at elephant sanctuaries. You get to see them living happy lives with other elephants in a large open space where people actually care for them. The money you pay to have a day or more there goes directly to the project. Make the right choice, spread the word and do something good. 🐘❤️
