How do you feel about the recent Homestuck updates?

I love it and I love everything and the world is wonderful. Except I feel like something’s wrong with the DaveKat perspective of things. Don’t get me wrong, DaveKat is one of my main ships in Homestuck, if not my otp apart from Rose and Kanaya. But… even though there has been so much SO MUCH for DaveKat, like with the cute lil pics, and the numerous amount of dialogue with all signs pointing to DaveKat like a glowing beacon of gay… I feel like Hussie is somehow stringing the fandom on…? I feel like Hussie is deliberatly feeding us all the DaveKat but… he still hasn’t said that they ARE matesprits. I know there was a huge huge huge reference to it in the update, but the words themselves haven’t come from Dave and Karkat. Like maybe  Davepeta confirmed it a little for us, but for some reason it doesn’t feel like it’s 100% canon canon? I feel like Hussie is getting as all ready for some DaveKat pics and true 100% confirmation, but then it’s going to maybe be a fucking annoying plot twist and it turns out they’re not actually matesprits or something like that. I feel like that may happen, and I dont like the idea of it, for many reasons. So yeah.

Oops I’ve talked to much shipping. Sorry. !OkDavepetasprite is adorable and awesome and I love them.I feel sorry for Jasprosesprite. I feel like Jake is trying to warn us of danger and we think he’s being an adorable little dork doing weird shit in the background.
