I'm trying the double run (and have watched the WR run for it), but I'm having an issue. For some reason when I have infinite ammo my smash is random, but doesn't build. It'll stay around 100 indefinitely.

After playing around I've determined that one difference is when I don't have infinite ammo the gun reloads automatically when I switch to it (and stacks normally). When I have infinite ammo I have to reload manually (hit the reload key) every time I switch to it. Why to not use Garmin Mapsource anymore!

Attention - I do not recommend to use Mapsource anymore except for sending maps to older generation devices!

Some reasons:

a) It's not developed anymore since 2010

b) It does not show OpenMTBMap or VeloMap contourlines! (it will send them though to your device)

c) It has no proper database to store tracks or routes - yes undertanding the concept of the database in Basecamp is not easy - but once you got it, it is pretty well done!

So why would you still use Mapsource?

Well to send maps to older generation devices like Vista HCx or GPSMaps 60CSx or even older. Basically to all devices that only support a single gmapsupp.img file! The advantage is that with Mapsource you can select the region on fullscreen - instead of the small popup screen of Basecamp/MapInstaller. Also it will display you a list of all selected tiles - this can be useful for debugging (though normal users don't need this).

Another reason would be that Garmin Mapsource has a search function that is identical to your GPS Device. The search function is actually much better than the Basecamp search function - but for general use I don't think that makes it worth-wile to stick to Mapsource.

So just install Garmin Basecamp instead:

For Reference only - Install Mapsource without owning an old Garmin Device

There are several programs to display openmtbmaps on your PC/notebook. The most popular is still Garmin Mapsource - even though it is superseeded by Garmin Basecamp and also Qlandkarte GT is on the way to overtake it. Garmin Mapsource is not develloped anymore, but version 6.16.3 runs still pretty well and has no big bugs. There is a catch however. Garmin only provides updates, no actual installation packages. Therfore below I describe two ways how you can install Mapsource legally nevertheless.

People who have bought a Garmin GPS will have a CD shipped with it including Mapsource. I recommend to use the most uptodate version by Garmin (as of writing this is 6.16.3)

Earlier versions of Mapsource (also 6.13.6) are now incompatible with the openmtbmaps as they do not show all ways and streets!!!! Use at least 6.16.1 or higher. Note that while Basecamp shows contourlines, Garmin Mapsource doesn't. Hence for general use I recommend Garmin Basecamp instead.

Classic Way of Installation without already having Mapsource installed (please install everything as administrator)

1. Install Garmin Basecamp. This is also a great tool for viewing maps, or planning routes and tracks.

2. Download and Install at least two Openmtbmaps (from openmtbmap.org/download )

3. Download and install MapSource 6.16.3 from here: http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=209

Note Mapsource will only install if you have done 1. and 2. before. It is essential that you first install two maps AND Garmin Basecamp - else you have to do the advanced way of installation below

I recommend installing a second map (good idea is to install the map legend so you can get to know the layout!!!) because you need to have two maps installed before the map selector shows up. Essentially 1 map would be enough also.

Advanced Way of Installation without already having Mapsource installed

First install at least one openmtbmap (just run the .exe)

Attention, Mapsource will not install correctly until you have a at least one map installed. So if you forgot step 1, do it now! Go to https://openmtbmap.org/download/ and download the map(s) of your choice and install at least one map!

Download latest MapSource from Garmin ( http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=209 ).

Unpack or extract the content of setup_MapSource.exe using 7zip (www.7zip.org), WinRAR or another good unpacker.

From the extracted files, first run MAIN.msi.

Then, run Setup.exe. Note: The sequence to execute Main.msi and then Setup.exe is important to avoid “Previous MapSource not found!” error.

Garmin MapSource is now installed. I recommend installing a second map (good idea is to install the map legend so you can get to know the layout!!!) because you need to have two maps installed before the map selector shows up.

Now, click on the CPU button in Activity Monitor and the “%CPU” column. This will list all apps according to the amount of CPU they are using. If you notice that any specific app is hogging a lot of CPU power, then you can close it by clicking on it in the list and then clicking the x button in the left corner of the Activity Monitor.

2. Prefer Safari over other browsers

Many apps can be a drain on your Mac, but Google Chrome is especially notorious. Even though it may be your favorite browser, there’s no denying that it hogs more RAM and processing power than others.

Therefore, it’s recommended that you use Safari or Firefox to keep your Mac running fast. Another option is to only open a few tabs in Chrome at a time, but you will need to check if this makes much of a difference.

3. Close Unnecessary Apps

Running a lot of different apps at once consumes plenty of memory and power. So it’s a good practice to close the apps that you’re not actively using. A quick way to see which apps are open is to check the Dock on your Mac. Open apps have a dot under their icon. To shut down an unwanted app, right-click on its icon in the Dock and select Quit or ‘Force Quit’ if you see the option.

Alternatively, if you press Cmd + Tab, you can access the App Switcher and see all open programs. As you tab through them, you can select an app and press Cmd-Q to quit it.

If you’re not able to quit the app and only see the colorful spinning ball, you can close apps from the Apple menu. Click on the Apple logo at the left corner of the menu bar and then click on Force Quit.

You will then see a list of all open applications, from which you can select which to quit.

4. Stop Programs from Opening at Startup

Sometimes, a lot of apps may be automatically opening up when your computer powers up, which can be a drain on the system. So it’s a good idea to manage these as follows:

Click on the Apple icon in the menu bar and go to System Preferences.

Click on Users & Groups.

Next, click on the Login Items tab to see all the programs and services that are launched when you first startup or login to your Mac

Now highlight the apps you don’t want to open at startup and click the minus (-) button below the list of apps. Close the window when done.

5. Empty the Trash & Downloads

This one sounds obvious, but you may often let files pile up in your Downloads as well as in Trash. So be sure to look through the Downloads folder in the Finder and delete everything you no longer need. Similarly, discarded files in Trash take up unnecessary space, which you can reclaim by right-clicking on Trash in the Dock and then selecting Empty Trash.

Moreover, if you’re running the latest version of macOS, you can choose to let Trash automatically delete items every 30 days. Here’s how:

Now type in minimum file size; for example, 50 MB.

This will show you all the files with 50MB or more in size. You can then choose Move to Bin to delete these large files to create some space and speed up your Mac.

7. Remove Unwanted Programs and Widgets

9. Delete Cache and Temporary Files

Caches are groups of files that usually help you to speed up your Mac. They are retained to be reused. For instance, a web browser caches web pages to make them load faster the next time you visit them.

The problem is that caches and temporary files can also clog up your disk space, so you should clear them to speed up your Mac. Bring up Go To Folder by hitting Command+Shift+G from your desktop or in the Go menu in Finder.

In the Go To Folder box, type in: ~/Library/Caches/

Now, delete the files that are taking up most space. You can even delete them all because they will be automatically recreated as needed when you use your Mac.

10. Upgrade Your Mac RAM

The more RAM that you have on your Mac, the more windows or tabs you can keep running without slowing down the system. The standard RAM on most Macs in 2020 is 8 GB or more. You can check the RAM on your system by clicking on the Apple icon in the menu bar, selecting About This Mac, and clicking on the Memory tab.
