You pick who/what you want to make from the photo (we have a sheet showing availability)

You make said character in that pose (further rules & specifications are on discord)

You get it done by the deadline (AUGUST 2ND!!!)

We put them all together and show everyone how talented this fandom is!!!

Most importantly, we have fun doing it!!!

My favourite thing about Phineas and Ferb is the fact that Phineas Flynn is so goated in his own right, is a literal child prodigy and the visionary of his generation. Yet, he’s the most oblivious fuck that’s ever existed in fiction.

Bro can take a rocket ship to space but doesn’t realise the girl across the street is holding space for him. Literally defied gravity that one time but also thought his male pet platypus had laid an egg? (Trans Perry rights I guess?) He travelled through time and wore sneakers to the science equivalent of the Oscar’s. He’s so invested in his hyperfixations and summer fun he never realises his sister’s having the worst fucking time and contributes to her anxiety every damn day.

it's pretty clear that just like every disney show from that time (and most kids shows in general) phineas and ferb had both a heteronormativity and a transmisogyny problem. the fact that so many gay and trans people love and identify with the show is attributable to the fact that the show is generally good-natured enough that jokes at the expense of lgbt identities are often recontextualized by fans as gay/trans coding (e.g. doof and perry acting like a couple, headcanoning doof as a trans man, etc), despite the fact that the show is frequently entrenched in traditional gender roles. I don't want to believe that dan and swampy are actually bigoted people, just that they're cishet men who were working within the comedy framework they were familiar with and which was standard at the time. but on a post-owl house disney, I do think it would be pretty cool for the reboot to include some earnest lgbt representation. in this essay, I will explain why vanessa doofenshmirtz should get a girlfriend,
