After making his mark on numerous cities around the midwest, Damien Parker is a young man who finds himself back in his old stomping grounds: the quaint, regressive city of Gladsdale, Michigan. He writes for a LGBTQ+ news outlet and spends his free time with his fellow queer folk living their lives the best they can in small town Midwest America with a biting wit and a lovable demeanor.

But at night, Damien becomes his true self. Under the skin that he portrays during the day is a demented killer with an ax to grind against anyone he deems worthy of being on the end of his knife. He stalks endlessly against the night sky before striking in a disturbing cascade of mayhem and murder, and he relishes in every disturbing moment of the act.

As Damien’s two worlds begin to collide after an unexpected ripple from a previous victim, he finds it increasingly harder to balance the two sides of his life. Try as he might, the bloodlust never stops growing. No one is safe, even Damien himself.

i wrote a book.

it’s been a ridiculously long time since i’ve actually made a post here. and aside from perusing this site for my own “personal” pleasures, i mostly forget this place exists. but here we are!

this book has been stewing in my brain since 2019 roughly. the year prior i had gone to see 218’s ‘halloween’ in theaters and i fell hard into my love for horror again. it’s always been my sweet spot in terms of media. and through a lot of podcast listening and movie watching, i learned that horror is gay as can be.

this story is not a happy story. it’s a mixture of dark comedy with my real-life frustrations of existing as someone outside of the box of a “normal” human being. it’s bloody and sick and sad. but it’s a story that needs to be told.
