an innocent human whose fate now interwining with the supernatural, something he shouldn't have seen in any of his life times, but fate decidedly had other plans. which is why yeon was here to solve their issue now. he sensed the presence of yet another gumiho lingering around the, quite frankly, miserable looking man. typical, that one of his own would try and take advantage of his misfortune and steal his heart at his most vulnerable. having being directed to jongwoo by the taluipa herself to get rid of the demon, yeon wanted to make sure that they were at least far away from other humans to avoid any other casualities that might have occurred by the demon's tantrum. especially when he's sure they're tracking them down now, motivated by the prospect of devouring jongwoo for themselves.

    "yah—" yeon begins, pausing abruptly in his movements to whip around and gaze properly at the smaller male. his head shakes. "lee yeon is fine. stop calling me ahjussi, mm? do i look that old to you? look at my face." a momentary gesture to pristine features. "humans... they really don't have any manners these days. back in joseon, i was..." he trails off, clicks his tongue irritably. there was no time to ramble, and they seriously needed to keep going. he turns back around, continuing his trek forward. "so long as you stick close to me, you'll be safe. i will keep you safe."

out of everything grusha had expected, it wasn't for him to be blatantly flirted at. sure, most people are bold when it comes to addressing him, but it was usually because of his smaller stature and quiet demeanor. they expect him not to amount to much on the battlefield, only to be swiftly overwhelmed by the cruel, unforgiving chill of his ice pokemon.

this guy, though... this guy was something entirely different. and grusha wasn't sure how he felt about that. he can feel his pale skin gaining warmth under the surface and he lifts his heavy scarf to cover the lower half of his face. like hell was he going to embarrass himself. "it seems when it comes to both your skills and your mouth, you don't keep a filter on either one."

icy eyes shift to gaze out towards the distance, watching various wild pokemon make their way through the snow, either in search of food or basic shelter from the cold. "yeah. . .you've gone a long ways from the usual track. you won't find anything here. the gym is the opposite way. east from where we are now." he extends a gloved hand in the mentioned direction. he chooses to ignore the question of his own experience snowboarding. it wasn't something he wanted to get into... certainly not with a wayward, bold trainer such as himself. "i'm grusha. i'll help you back to the gym. . .it won't take long."

                     𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰   𝗵𝘂𝗲𝘀   𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱   𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿   𝗮𝘁   𝘁𝗵𝗲   𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿   ,   head tilting to   the   side   at   the   cool   pun.   albeit   ,   he   didn't   know   if   it   was intentional or   not   (   probably   not   since   the   guy   didn't   seem   the   joking type.   )   after a   few   seconds   ,   a   smile   formed   on   rosé   colored   lips. 

❝   didn't   expect   to   see   anyone   gorgeous   way   up   here   ,   but   yeah   ——   i guess   my   muscle   memory   kicked   in   back   there   on   the   slopes.   haven't been   to   a   place   like   this   since   i   was   a   teenager.   heard   there   was supposed   to   be   some   stoic   gym   leader   around.   haven't   seen   them   .   .   . or the   gym   .   .   .   ❞

his   face   flushed   at   his   last   statement,   he   didn't   know   how   ,   but   he had somehow   been   incapable   of   finding   a   giant   building.   he   was   going to blame   the   random   snowstorms   for   that   one.   ❝   eh   ,   probably   got turned around   during   those   impromptu   snow   storms.   so   ,   you   hit   the slopes too ?   ah   ,   i'm   sora   by   the   way.   ❞

...maybe he's made a mistake of accepting his new raticate companion. he's just staring while the alolan rat gnaws on one pair of his snow boots. all while making eye contact.

before i pass tf out i feel conditioned to give all of my pokemon muses eeveelutions bc i am an umbreon truther... so grusha is getting glaceon and kieran is getting umbreon. might even be sillier and connect my muses further to each other and say that kieran's umbreon is actually hatched from an egg that blue gave him. lupin is a papa now.

the anxiety that aspen felt and displayed was obvious to kieran as they both explored the professor's lab. or rather... he was exploring it and looking at the research left behind by the professor's disappearance... there were so much here to explore, to discover, the entire idea of it was utterly fascinating to him. and besides, he wanted to figure out just what this 'legendary pokemon' was, and nothing was going to stop him.

when he was handed the key, his eyes lock with aspen's for a moment before taking it into gloved fingers, looking it over for a moment. "well... if you say so. i'll give it a go." kieran offers, looking around for anything to put the disk into. and once it found it, a cd holder that popped out from the column that detected the presence of the indigo disk itself, kieran sets it inside and allows the column to read... whatever was on it.

he perks up when he hears an automatic voice detailing the location locked inside of the elevator and he turns to aspen, nodding his head and gesturing towards the elevator itself. "seems like that's our stop... let's go before anything weird ends up happening."

"So, uh. Ms. Geeta gave me a disk and I guess it's for this door?" It's obvious that Aspen does not want to be here, in the professor's old lab. He's been tense and on edge since the moment they've stepped into Area Zero for this entire ordeal, twitchy and turning back to look towards the way out every so often.

Frankly the only reason he hasn't turned and run is because he had the key they apparently needed.

He's gotten worse since they entered the lab, half jumping out of his skin at every little sound and looking at as little of the place as he can get away with. Most of his attention has been focused on his feet or the skeledirge diligently keeping to his side.

"Here." He hands Kieran the key, entirely unwilling to try and figure out how the indigo disk even works. "You can open it."

"nya nya!" she rises instantly to her paws when she spots the other setting out a plate for her. the unique, savory smell of the curry hits her nostrils, tail twitching enthusiastically as she leans in close to give it a tentative lick. 

the taste was clearly to her liking because she quickly began to eat her portion, a bright expression on her face. this was way better than the berries she managed to snag from the forest she lived in! "mew mwah." he could pet her, if he wanted.

Mikhail got the hint. He took a clean plate from his kit and dipped some of the curry out on to it, and sat it on the ground in front of the Sprigatito. Maybe now he can pet her?

“There you go, little girl,” he tells her. “Eat up.”

After all, sharing food with a Pokémon was a gift.

well, out of all the things to be woken up by, she certainly hadn't expected a personal visit from the electric mouse. "um... are you hungry, cap? there's - well, i don't have anything in there. not anymore." she had already shared the rest of her snacks with meowscarada!

speaking of...

there's a very unhappy feline side-eyeing cap from where she was lounging on liko's bed. "mrrrew..."
