I think instead of Luka, Arch-Adam should have been Balder.

Bayonetta obviously takes a lot of inspiration from Christian theology, and in catholic theology specifically Mary and Jesus are given the epithets “New Eve” and “New Adam” bc regular Adam and Eve were disobedient whereas Mary and Jesus weren’t (or something like that? Idk man)

But my thing is New Eve/Mary gives birth to New Adam/Jesus, who then “saves the world by his death” and I feel like the sorta backwards parallel of Arch-Adam/Balder being the father of Arch-Eve/Cereza who then saves the world (and dies in the process, I mean c’mon she even was posed like she was being crucified when Singularity was crushing her in the rubble) is a real missed opportunity in the blasphemy department

They really fucked up rhyming Bayonetta 3's story with the first game so bad that the message came out being: What if being straight killed your parents?

My favorite thing about playing Bayonetta 1 is how the prologue-chapter 4 is like "oh cool I'm good at this game" and then u get to the second fight with Jeanne in Ch. 5 and suddenly you fucking suck and you're getting your ass violently handed to you :) it's all downhill from there :)

BayoTheory: Cereza, Balder, Rosa and the Umbran Elder have to wear glasses because being powerful overseers has opposite impact on eyesight. The spiritual weight is a lot.

So why Jeanne never actually uses hers? Maybe it never got that bad since she didn't get to heir. Maybe she's just stubborn. Maybe she's just playing the bad bitch and doesn't want to admit that she can't see shit and save them for her teaching life.
