Just to add on to this, since it’s been a while since I’ve posted it and I’ve been reading more transmigration books—

I also like the fact that Og!Cale and KRS aren’t the same person. Like don’t get me wrong it’s sometimes a nice post twist and make some of the manhwa and novels I’ve read good, but it’s so over used.

I like that Og!Cale didn’t just cease to exist or didn’t go in to some sort of limbo. I’m really glad that both souls are getting a happy ending that they can both go and enjoy.

I also like the genuine reason for the creation of “Birth of a Hero” and why KRS and Og!Cale switched bodies.

I think my favorite thing about the TCF novel is that although Cale is a transmigrator he didn’t go from regular person to super smart just because he transmigrated. In a lot of novels you’ll see transmigrators and regressors just suddenly becoming geniuses in everything they do. I like that the author created a back story of why Cale was as smart as he was. And, he had to go through a lot of trial and error and see a lot of things for his plans to work.

I don’t remember where it was in the book but I remember reading that in KRS’s early days at the company with LSH they got beat up after a mission gone wrong. I think the way LSH just laughs the whole ordeal off is just a way that alludes to how Cales plans back then didn’t always work. He had to work on the front lines for a long time before his plans became so intricate and easily switched and replaced for new ones as more obstacles are thrown at him.

Cale is naturally smart, yes, but things like that can only be achieved through experience and I’m glad the author gave Cale the experience before they gave Cale the ability.

Anyway this is just a little quark I saw in the book that I’d thought I’d share with the rest of the fandom.

Honestly, the single-lifers of TCF are truly tragic. “In another life” isn’t something that exist for them.

They’re doomed for endless solitude and tribulations. They spend an extensive life-time going through all sorts of things. Lives that extend past that of a dragons, but never knowing peace. Those that become gods never being able go through any kind of “recycling” of the soul. People doomed to live and never die.

They’ll never get to experience meeting their friends in another life. Only being able to watch over them from afar. Only able to watch from a distance after death.

There is something truly gut-renching tragic about the existence of single-lifers.

Cale Henituse transmigrating into Kim Rok Soo when he was under Lee Soo Hyuk would never work because LSH and CJS would clock it so fast.

Cale!KRS walking into the office:

LSH: who are you?

You can’t tell me LSH and CJS wouldn’t realize in .01 seconds that their dongsaeng isn’t their dongsaeng anymore.

Is anyone interested in Lee Soohyuk’s/ Sui khan’s history???

Like you mean to tell me this handsome charismatic slacker/ failed actor somehow meet the Choi Junggun?? Choi Junggun gave him his most useful ability for some reason at the beginning of the apocalypse?? Like who are you???

And Sui khan??? Bro what do you mean your body wasn’t your own for the past 13 years?? What exactly were you doing with the black hawk tribe??? What exactly were you doing with your work from the god of death???

This person doesn’t seem that mysterious at first but istg if you look a bit deeper this man has to have some of the most confusing, hole ridden past.

And don’t even get me started on his own tragedy??? What do you mean you were extremely depressed and confused if you should continue to save people selflessly?? What do you mean you ended up dieing young?? Only to end up never being able to rest in piece despite all the running around you did while you were alive?? WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CHOSE TO BE ABLE TO ASSIST YOUR DONGSAENG IN YOUR NEXT LIFE?? RATHER THAN WORRYING ABOUT YOURSELF YOU STILL CHOSE TO DO EVERYTHING IN YOUR POWER TO HELP KRS???

Does anyone else hate it when someone writing a fanfic will randomly change a characters pronouns? Like if you take Venti from Genshin impact for example.

I can’t count the number of times people will be like “Venti’s pronouns are they/them or he/them or she/he🤪🤪”

Like c’mon. Venti refers to himself as a he. He’s obviously a male. I also don’t ever think I mistook venti for a female. And I didn’t even play Genshin when I first saw his picture. Also people will say something like “well he was a wind spirt so technically he does have a gender” ok and?? Idk it just pisses me off when I’m reading and suddenly the pronouns are switched up.

I’d also like to think this is a reason why lsh/ sui khan wanted Cale to become a farmer. So he wouldn’t waste away in bed doing absolutely nothing besides getting up to use the bathroom. Also, the occasional walking 2 ft to a rocking chair….

I just realized that when cale is not saving the word or coughing up blood he stays in bed all the time. And it's a sign of depression

NO I JUST REALIZED FOCALORS RESPONDED TO WHAT FURINA SAID WHEN SHE WAS TALKING TO NEUVILLETTE!

When talking with Neuvillette focalors says “and all along she’s been playing her part in the most unimaginably long, unbearably lonely, and agonizingly painful opera of all time.”

And Furina says in her part of it and when she is heard crying in the fountain of Lucine “so in terminal… So lonely… just how much longer…”

PLEASE THEY MATCH😭😭😭 unimaginably long > so interminal; unbearably lonely > so lonely; and agonizingly painful > just how much longer. The last one could be seen as a bit iffy, but Furina said that cus she was in pain and wanted it to end. I feel like it was already implied but this just proves how much Focalors watched over Furina and how much she heard. I couldn’t imagine how focalors felt when she realized she was forsaking Furina in such a terrible way.

Me thinking about how Kim Roksoo couldn’t keep any friends throughout his school year because of the curse from the GoD. Always leaving him no matter how hard he tried to keep them.

Also thinking about how Lee Soohyuk and Choi Jungsoo also probably introduced him to basic things friends do for each other.

KRS staying in the office finishing up paper work - or whatever he did in the office while under LSH - instead of going to lunch with his teammates. CHS waiting for him to finish up even if it take him 30mins before he’s ready. Then going to lunch with him late.

Or showing up to a company dinner with all the seats full at the restaurant. Him thinking about turning around and going home only to find out LSH especially made sure a seat was saved for him even if that caused conflict elsewhere.

I can imagine him feeling all ‘warm and fuzzy’ inside. Being confused with why they were doing these things for him. (Despite ‘those things’ being basic things all people would do with their friends)

The GoD’s curse is so unimaginably cruel even diluted. It also puts into perspective how tough it must have been for KRS after LSH and CJS died. Thinking about the Soo dynamic from when they were together on EARTH 1 always makes me sad.
