"More than I would like to admit." Marian's voice was soft as she spoke, her hands fidgeting with the hem of her armor. "It's not that I know that I am alone...but the noise gets overwhelming and that feeling of loneliness sets in... It eats away at you."

Fingers are clasped together and rested in the mages lap, Anders sitting quietly as he listened to Hawke speak; His gaze is set somewhere far away, not looking at anyone or anything in particular. 

His own response doesn’t come quick - in fact, he seemed to take his time processing what was said before letting out a faint laugh. “Heh-” He finally looks at her then, a look of understanding crossing over features. “You can say that again.”

"Knock knock." Hawke let herself into the mage's clinic, taking a quick look around. "I hope you're not too busy."

At first, he doesn’t quite register the familiar voice, lost in his own mind while it had been occupied with the task at hand before brain clicks to who’d exactly entered.  

    “Now I’m not--” with attention now on his companion, he offers that of a rather crooked grin. Though it fades just as quickly as it had appeared. “ What brings you to this side of Kirkwall, Hawke?”
