Ok so I think I know the exact reason why muse for all of my DB characters has been in rock bottom, aside from how dead (iirc) the DB rpc is.

I've lost a lot of passion for the franchise. By that, I mean it's boring me now. Daima was a fun watch, but it still wasn't enough to spark inspiration. I even look at new DB fanart being posted, and I feel hardly anything over it (but it surely doesn't help that fanart usually depicts the same things over and over...). The franchise as a whole personally feels stale to me, like there's little that can be done with it in a creative sense if you don't care about the series' intense focus purely on fighting; which I in fact don't.

I'm at least feeling the itch to revisit my Amito story, because I still love my OC + that ship, and the internet needs more slice-of-life Vegito content. I've been giving my revamped synopsis of it more attention lately. But when it comes to rp? Zero urge to be present.

All of this to say that it's looking like my hiatus will continue indefinitely, maybe throughout the rest of this year and beyond. Again, sorry if this disappoints anyone, but I just CANNOT be bothered. Hopefully the franchise puts out fresh, new content that revitalizes my interest and gets gears turning again sooner rather than later.

Whenever I return (still not feeling rp so Idk), I would like to give Amita a lot more attention. Do iconless threads if need be, flesh out the Triclops more, perhaps be less shy with my ideas...

After I finish writing all the chapters of my current non-DB fic (almost halfway done w it), I might try to dip my toes back into the rp space.

Another thought. I think the biggest reason (and most relevant) why Gine didn't also fall prey to the propaganda brainwashing like most of the other Saiyans, is because the influence of her suffering was just...stronger than its influence.

She dealt with intense loneliness since the day she was put out of her nursing capsule, as her mother didn't give a shit about her and she was attacked - sometimes brutally wounded - by other children because she wasn't like them (and violence was always advocated for). She was put through hellish training to become a soldier, for a cause that was just meant to line Frieza's own pockets (because let's be real: the Saiyan Army didn't have its own identity and probably wasn't even a thing anymore as is, by her time it was just an extension of the Cold/Frieza Force). Never mind her own experiences with dealing with the racism from Frieza's more loyal & non-Saiyan soldiers.

How horrible she felt mentally and often physically was just enough to not let the brainwashing work out. It didn't let her grow complacent and be satisfied with what little she had, nor was she deluded into believing her pain was worth it because it would lead to something "meaningful".

None of the shit was right. She'd believe that for all of her life, even now as she lives on Earth. If anyone ever asks her about her past of living on Planet Vegeta, I feel like she'd offer a fascinating perspective that you wouldn't get from...literally any of the other pureblooded Saiyans (probably).

I'm watching "Why It Sucks to Be Born as a SAIYAN" by SUPER RAMY on youtube, and while there's a lot of information that's *imo* inaccurate and headcanons I don't agree with....man. Has it gotten my Gine muse surging. (Not for RP specifically, just in general.)

Because, how the Saiyan character who's the focus in the video is portrayed is basically a summary for most of the headcanons I have for Gine (a lot of them I haven't talked about publicly yet). Namely, how living the life of a low class Saiyan was so fucking miserable and she knew them all being used as tools for Frieza AND (to a lesser degree) the elites wasn't right, but there was nothing that she could do about it. Because 'too weak'.

Even still, Gine knew that the propaganda low class warriors were brainwashed by was total bullshit. Her people could've been so much more than what they were: divided by the caste system and overall made to suffer because of the Cold family's racism. Her psychology regarding her own life and Raditz's birth is especially juicy (and deserves its own post; otherwise this will be 20x longer).

As much as I appreciate the general things she brought to the table as being Goku's mother, Gine SUCKS in canon. She's Nothingburger The Character™ there, but the version of her in my head?? Peak, if I do say so myself.

(I do legit think that, if Planet Vegeta never got destroyed and she got the Right Kick, MY Gine would've eventually become a full on rebel going against the status quo & advocating for change - even if she was killed for it. Basically what Bardock tried to do, difference being his intentions were born more from revenge & desperation than an active desire for change.)

hey soooo i'm gonna go ahead and put my db blogs on hiatus. i have zero motivation to be present on dash and post anything at all; let alone get to replies. the only thing tempting me to write is guilt over not doing replies, but like.....that's not a good enough nor healthy reason to be active, ya know?

idk when i'll be back and actively itching to rp again tbh. sorry in advance if this comes as a disappointment. i might queue some headcanons if they pop into my head, but nothing more than that.

i'll be around on discord. i am open to rping on there, but ngl i think me taking a long break from rp is needed at this point. my writing priorities exist elsewhere.
