Okay, I have criticisms about RWBY like any normal person, but never in my lifetime did I expect to see someone claim that RWBY went downhill because it "discarded its original Christian themes"
I wouldn't call RWBY anti-Christianity, but it was certainly never distinctly Christian either. I don't even....
What???
I don't know to process thoughts
I guess the brothers are arguably God and Satan, but they're equals and get along most of the time so I don't think that's very Christian as a plot element
RWBY isn't even remotely religious, let alone Christian. I don't understand what Christian themes they would be referring to at all.....
#as a christian the fuck is this take#(not directed @ you btw op lol)#this further proves every rwby viewing experience is personalized bc no way did we watch the same show💔

god i hate the whole "you're just mad bc the writers didn't do what you wanted" thing. by the same logic, people who say that only like it bc they got what they wanted; the actual quality of the writing and whether it holds up under scrutiny doesn't matter.
which is just. bullshit.
like you do you, if your enjoyment relies on whether a show does what you want or not and you don't care how it got there, completely valid. not gonna stop you or anything.
but if people are literally analyzing a show, talking about its writing and where it fails, at best it's idiotic to barge in with a "you're just mad bc the writers didn't do what you wanted" and at worst you're intentionally trying to oversimplify the issue at hand in an attempt to make others seem "unreasonable" in their critique by making it a preference thing when it's. not.
