There's a game called sable which is open world, but also, has these moments inside it that are definitely set pieces. It accomplishes it by funneling you into a few events and places, and i think games that still have a narrative, so your gta's or whatever, can definitely still have these moments. its just harder imo.

I just played Control to completion and my god I miss set pieces in video games. Like just an entire mission or portion in the game that's just there to make you feel something and be really cool. Control has a mission called Polaris and it involves heavy metal and shooting up bad guys (I don't wanna spoil) and it just felt so fucking good. I don't hate open world games but man do I wish there were more linear-type games like Control.

Yeah, its tough. You've got your fave, people you like, people you tolerate, something that is at the gateway to terrible, then all the things beyond it. I try to get my ballot organised before i go in, so that i can just write it out and get out of there. Its so much easier now that the senate ballots aren't nearly as crazy as they used to be.

preferential voting does get weird at a certain point because you number all the guys you like then theres like 3 evil parties and you cant put them all last. i had to put one nation at 4 and it made me feel sticky
