Summary: Dazai, the boss of the Port Mafia, had picked up Atsushi who was a poor, orphan boy that was not even wanted by the orphanage. While accepted into the Port Mafia, Atsushi unconsciously grows obsessed with Dazai, always diligently following his orders and seeking any form of affection from Dazai. However, Atsushi finds himself at odds when he wants to go orphan and see the orphanage director, as he wants to learn why the director did what he had done.

Summary: Tecchou Suehiro is seventeen when he's assigned to his first big case: to take down the criminal organization known as Seventh Sun, a mafia-like group with their sights set on a goal he can't determine through muddled affairs.

Saigiku Jouno, seventeen, is one of Seventh Sun's three Executives. Their endgame is not his perogative: his perogative is to find what makes his own heart tick.

Tecchou finds it before Jouno can, though Tecchou doesn't know how much of Jouno's cruel side he can take before he breaks.

Summary: Yokohama is a hungry city; it devours secrets and refuses silence. Gin Akutagawa has a silence the city intends to break. Michizou Tachihara has secrets the city is willing to shatter.

Michizou is willing to put the past behind him - live in the shame of a typical life, no ability, no mafia or government. Live something that no one is proud of, but there's enough shame in his soul to drown a valley.

When Gin gets caught up with the Hunting Dogs, Michizou is pulled out of his early retirement to give her the same tricks of the trade she'd been him years back. Unfortunately for them both, Yokohama will push-and-pull until it gets what it wants - and it wants Gin and Michizou's heads on a platter.

hiya, I saw one of your posts about the bsd minibang and as an artist (and occasional writer) I'm always exited by the premise of creating art for something I love

however I could not in the slightest figure out what a minibang (or big bang) is, as in I do not understand the concept. what is the end goal in having strict rules on the creative process? like I get what you're technically doing but I do not get what the end product is supposed to be

please do not take this as an attack in any way I'm genuinely intrigued by this co cept and I wish to understand (and perhaps particiapte in) it

Hey! A fandom big bang is basically founded on a collaboration between an artist and writer— the writer creates a work of a certain length, and an artist works with them to create art that goes along with that work. This link may be helpful for origins of the term and the history of big bangs as a fandom event. (A minibang is essentially the same thing, just with a significantly smaller word count minimum.)

The main goals of running a fandom event like this are—

(1) Importantly: because it's fun! A huge aspect of this is the collaboration and the working together to make creative works based on things you're passionate about. A significant part of it is the social/community aspect.

Our rules are pretty lax (with a 4k word minimum for writers), and a lot of the rules when it comes to pitches are flexible & placed solely to ensure that each writer is matchable with an artist. Writers and artists have a lot of free reign to shift from their original vision as long as they're in agreement, once the creation period starts, and check-ins are just to make sure that no one's left hanging without the other members of their team.

(2) Similar to a themed fan week or any other event, creating a big bang can be meant to help promote the creation of fanworks around a specific theme. In this case, it's an attempt to encourage curiosity and exploration into the canon world of BSD; we want to encourage people to step out of the box and to get niche with it, even beyond the event itself. There's a lot of minor characters, rarely-explored dynamics, and fascinating lore as well as gaps in canon that we'd love to direct attention to. The restriction on sticking to a canon-adjacent setting takes place of what would often be a restriction on writing specific ships/characters in a bang, and is just to help ensure the goal of the event is met.
