Rewatching death note after TEN YEARS with some friends and we are horribly susceptible to theorizing animation student au headcanons for like every piece of media that has our attention so here’s their meet the artists with some stats :3 ridiculously self-indulgent + catered to our own personal experiences of being in cartoon school. Well you see they are in their 3rd year ryuk is light’s goth alt roommate who shows him this cool site called twitter dot com and light IMMEDIATELY starts anonymously cyberbullying people notably school peers and it gets so bad the faculty has to get involved and they also need to bring in this mysterious transfer student from England who gets put into the same 3rd year film group as light to further investigate suspicions and also has a twitter handle/acc that has been actively challenging light’s + has like a gazillion followers. Also yeah they fall in love and stuff

people need to realize that dissolving the lines between gender also means dissolving the lines between sexuality. you cannot say gender is fake and then say sexuality is strict and rigid.

there are multigender/genderfluid people who are lesbians and gay men at the same time. there are mspec lesbians/gays/straights who have a complex relationship with gender and their sexuality. there are gay men who are women and lesbians who are men because male isn't the opposite of female.

"conflicting" labels are a part of many people's queer experience, because the human experience isnt simple enough to be put into neat perfect categories. if you truly support trans/genderqueer people, you need to accept the fact that gender and sexuality is complex and there will be people whose identities you don't understand

skating au so reigen can win best boy now

Young Arataka Reigen is a promising competitive figure skater, but he has one flaw : his skating style is not Beautiful. Reigen debuts in a time where judges critique routines mostly on technique, and how elegant it is. He does not take this criticism well, often getting into tiffs with coaches about what should be ‘the focus’ of his performances. Cue Misty’s idea of him pushing too hard, trying too much, which results in an accident which breaks his leg and his career early.

Fast forward: Reigen coaches an up-and-coming figure skater Shigeo Kageyama. Times have changed, and judges are more receptive to emotionally driven skating in a modern audience. Plot twist : Reigen’s still teaching Mob how to deal with his emotions in this au, this time via finding Mob’s own style of skating. Reigen’s crazy-out-there-what-the-fuck-are-you-doing skate style helps Mob open up and experiment with his own.
