Your parents are not "narcissists". They're typical authoritarian assholes who treat you like their property because society allows them to.
Your ex boyfriend is not a "narcissist". He's a typical misogynistic douchebag who treats women like shit because society allows him to.
Your boss is not a "narcissist". They're a typical classist dipshit who thinks workers' entire purpose in life is to generate profit because society allows them to.
And even if they happen to be a "narcissist", that's not what gave them the power to get away with abuse.
So stop blaming mental illness and start blaming society's normalization of abuse. Stop acting like someone has to have a mental illness in order to do something cruel when ordinary people have been doing atrocious things since forever.

Americans and friends of Americans: please reblog this, here and elsewhere. Reblog it often. Propublica can be trusted and it should not cost money to file our fucking taxes.

This but with Homestuck fans.
I could recognize her by discourse alone, by typing style; I would know her blind, by the way her bad takes came and her fingers struck the keyboard. I would know her under any username. i would know her irl, at the end of the world

Gay cowboy and gay Roman Soldier mini figures. Yes.
This is the one of the strangest ships I’ve ever shipped, but oh boy is the ship shipping, look at them.
I drew this at 5am, having not fallen asleep yet:) They have consumed my brain

I really think everyone needs to truly internalize this:
Fictional characters are objects.
They are not people. You cannot "objectify" them, because they have no personhood to be deprived of. They have no humanity to be erased. You cannot "disrespect" them, because they are not real.

Honestly more people should cope with their disorders by headcanoning their f/os with that same disorder. It's such a healing coping mechanism. By loving them with their disorders that are yours, you slowly come to terms with - or at least acknowledge - your own symptoms, and that's already a huge step especially if you can't afford medication or even therapy

Imagine the absolute lovesick look on your romantic f/o(s) face when they see you in the outfit(s) you've wanted for such a long time. The clothing style you've always wanted, they absolutely adore you in every single outfit you have.
They love the absolute joy on your face when you're finally comfortable in an outfit you're wearing. You absolutely make them swoon over you, no matter what you look like, dress like. They love seeing you, the actual you <3
Bonus -> they have a matching outfit with yours <3

growing up fat is damaging. your grandma starts weighing you everytime you visit her when you're 9. your parents think that you should dress up more appropriately by the time you're 13 while your skinny cousin can wear whatever she wants. people start sexualizing you by the time you're 14. your friends think you're annoying when you're 15. you realize how much attention you get after you start sexualizing yourself at 16. no matter how much weight you lose you still see that fat kid on the mirror when you turn 17. you realize all those years you dealt with so many fucking versions of ED at 18 and you're still alive.
