Im from a former USSR country and have heard recountings from family members over 35 about their lives under and then after that time since I was young, not to mention the lasting effects it has on the cultural consciousness and how often it is brought up by teachers, ads, shows, literature etc. The signs of past oppression and authoritariansim still linger, so seeing people who have never had any connections to such regimes or haven't lived under them side with them is so frustrating

Homura is just straight up one of the weirdest people imaginable. Like, forget about the time loop tragic doomed romance for a bit, I want to see what it looks like if she wins and then actually tries to romance Madoka. She has a massive collection of illegal firearms. She builds her own bombs. She lives in an ultra-modernist white box apartment that she's decorated with a couch made of concentric circles, a giant swinging knife pendulum to remind her of the ever-present flow of time, and a wall of several dozen screens. She communicates primarily in vague and ominous warnings and is more or less incapable of saying anything directly. She addresses everyone she meets by their full name with no honorific which comes across as bizarre and intimidating. If you count time loop years she's 26. She was raised in a catholic orphanage. I want to see her take Madoka on a horrifically bad date and cry in the bathroom partway through when she realizes she's fucking up

Okay so it's been *checks calendar* a few months and I am still a stay and ot8, but I am also definetly a rabid Han bias. Like, I'm kinda crazy about him, but it's like, nooo big deal haha I definetly didn't start drooling when a friend who likes k-pop said she has a lot of Han photocards

But fear not dear reader!!! I have not left Hyunjin behind. In fact I think my appreciation for every member in general has risen, which is good, I think, because I am going to die at the concert even harder than I would've before!!!!!

Okay so I've been getting more into Stray Kids in the past few days (due to Felix being exactly my type and drawing me in)

I like their stuff a lot and all I could say has been said before, so I would like to draw attention to something specific. Namely this ONE OUTFIT Hyunjin wears in the CHK CHK Boom music video and in one stage performance I think? Because it has infected my mind, despite me not being a massive Hyunjin bias.

I like him a lot, don't get me wrong. He's gorgeous and a great dancer and performer

I was rewatching Emirichus "I worked in a maid cafe for a day" video and the speed with which my hands flew to my sketchbook to draw the head maids uniform was incredible, you should've seen it! (this isn't fanart of her specifically tho)

I actually really like maid uniforms, though I don't know much about them or their history. In the future I want to sew a long, victorian maid costume all by myself and, when I eventually save up enough to go, visit a real maid cafe in Japan :D

Honestly though, I think I might actually enjoy working in one... Like, yeah it's customer service, but not every rando and 40 yr old woman with children is going to wander into an establishment like that. You also have different expectations for how long the food takes or how you act than in normal restaurants, which I have worked in previously so it might be a better environment. Some of them also have an idol and performance aspect to them which I think I would enjoy and excel at, given my ~8 years of dancing experience. Also you get to work in cute frilly uniforms and act all cute with other cute girls so~ = 3 =

Did you know it took me years to come up with a magical girl design that felt me and then once I did come up with it (completely randomly and on a whim btw) it stuck forever? Well that happened so the moral of the story, kids, is never give up~°•

Sakura is one of my most prominent art muses besides Hatsune Miku. She's just so fun to draw in different outfits!! I love her a lot :D

I don't know what it is, but a rectangular brush makes me want to paint, so that's what I did. I definetly need more practice rendering so this might help with that :3

The Hello Kitty girl actually came to me right after I woke up and demanded to be drawn exactly how I saw her in my minds eye. I like to think she's around 14 and just got out of school. She didn't even have time to change out of her school clothes and just threw on her performance jacket, hat and leg warmers. I don't think I'll make her an oc or anything tho
