@renrink Dangit someone else made a comic like this BUT I CANT FIND IT. But it inspired me to do this one. Fresh is (for the most part) incapable of empathy, and only thinks of continuing his own existence. And what better chance to continue existing, if he could literally conquer death? In Death’s moment of weakness, Fresh might just take a chance. If Reaper agrees, in all his sorrow, then Fresh would inhabit the perfect body. After all, how can you kill death….? This was for funsies and playing around with simple coloring, nothing serious. Have fun with it folks

Response from Toby Fox about the use of Error and Fresh
ALLLRIGHTY so I did get a response from Toby regarding the characters of Fresh and Error. I’m just gunna copy/paste it right here: “”Yeah, if you wanna sell stuff of them or use them in your own professional works, I think it would be better if you made them less identifiable as Sans. You’ve obviously already changed his design a bit, you’d just need to change it some more. Good luck with your own stuff!!! - Toby”” So this means if I ever want to sell any stuff of em, they gotta be redesigned. This DOES NOT BOTHER ME In the slightest and makes me EXCITED to redesign them in a way that I choose. Because they were both designed, literally as a joke (Fresh) and as a dare (Error) which means although I ‘kinda’ designed them, I also didn’t. Heck, the major parts of Fresh’s design were done by @determinedtopun and I just used some of those concepts. This is actually extremely exciting. This means I get the chance to do whatever I want with how they look and start from scratch. Many aspects will remain the same, many will change, body types might change, clothes are a DEFINITE must, but this is all fun and I’m really looking forward to it. As always, I’m greatful for Toby’s response, and excited to try something new with both characters! (Edit: redesigning Fresh I think will be the REAL challenge, because he changies bodies like all the time. I love the parasite concept but I ALSO love the concept of him having a repeatable design, dangit Fresh STOP BEING DIFFICULT)

I think Grillby would be basically the same in the mob setting! Probably has lots of misc information he can sell to people or tips to give out. I like to imagine he and Sans are on great terms, what with Sans being one of his regulars, and they have a sort of favor-for-a-favor thing going on? Skelebros help him out, his bar (speakeasy yesssss) is probably on their turf or something!
Maybe his daughter gets kidnapped at some point, held for ransom by like, Muffet or something, and he asks dem bones to help him out cuz Undyne is off dealing with some human problems and he doesn’t know where else to turn? Idk, just some ideas I had while doodlin this, haha (I promise Papyrus isn’t always grumpy despite me only ever drawing him grumpy in this au aaahaha he just, doesn’t like grease….!)
