Goddammit. Okay. Buckle up but don’t say I didn’t warn you.

There’s an Undertale AU concept that gained traction pretty quickly that puts the Undertale characters in a 1930s Mafia/Film Noir type setting. Specifically the UT Mob AU by in-sideunder is what sparked this chain of events.

So tumblr user nyublackneko has an Undertale AU called UTMob that is just *chefs kiss* I cannot recommend it enough. If you’ve been in the fandom long enough you’ve definitely seen some art from it. The premise is more or less that Sans and Papyrus take in little kid Frisk and it’s ADORABLE.

The next step is an AU of this AU, a collab with user junkpilestuff swapping their character “Stone Faced Asshole G!Sans” (who is a delightful character) with the role Sans and Papyrus in the original story take, except instead of calling Frisk “little pup”, this Sans calls Frisk “Kitty-Cat”. I love it, it’s so heckin cute.

And then these two incredible lovely wonderful creators went “Aw hey what if Kitty-Cat met G!Sans much later in life when they were an adult!” at a point where Frisk is a sort of hitman (if you’ve read the original UTMob this makes sense otherwise just go with it) trying to take out G!Sans who has become the Godfather of his family. To keep names separate, they’re referred to as Kitten and Don G, respectively.

There’s something about their relationship that’s posited—that’s not even really romantic???? Not explicitly anyway—and this dynamic that just OH it kills me. It is my perfect wonderful dream ship. The mutual respect and the stoicism between the characters and the shared Capacity to Fuck Shit Up, I could go on and on and on. But you get why I can’t go around broadcasting this because I would get mocked mercilessly by anyone who knew a shred. I guess at it’s core it’s sans x frisk which as a core ship I am like Nope! That’s gross and weird! Don’t be that person! But there’s this point where after so many iterations the characters just feel like…a new IP lmao.

So yeah that’s it, my big convoluted AU nonsense favorite ship is Kitten and the Don. Rip my heart forever.
