I really wish people would stop treating OSDD as "lesser" than DID.

I see this constantly, every time I see ANYTHING about systems it's always DID. Any time I see people talking about disorders that cause systems, it's always DID. Every study done, DID. Talk to our therapist? Only knows about DID, completely unaware that OSDD exists.

As an OSDD system, it's EXHAUSTING. We're never anything more than a footnote because people focus on DID. We're used as scapegoats to either justify or debunk endos because we "don't have it as bad" as people with DID. Everywhere I go in system spaces, the vast majority of systems are DID systems. Things are always focused on how DID systems experience amnesia, and those of us who experience it differently are left out of the conversation. It's always talk of people losing memory between switches, never those of us who don't have that.

It's always fucking focus on DID. Every. Single. Time.

Pro endo spaces? Focus on createds and leave those of us with disordered experiences to rot. Anti endo spaces? Focus on DID to the point that OSDD systems wonder if it's even worth fucking talking about our struggles because they're seen as lesser. The ONLY fucking places where we really feel comfortable talking about it is places where the focus is specifically on OSDD or that don't bother specifying between DID and OSDD.

We are not scapegoats. We are not a footnote. We aren't lesser.

I am so fucking TIRED of it. When will OUR experiences be valued? When will WE get the focus? Why are we always the ones left in the dark? Why are we always the ones that get ignored?

Can yall PLEASE consider us for once.

Actor Jonathan Joss was just murdered for being gay and married to a trans man. On the first day of pride 2025. He was best known for playing John Redcorn on King of the Hill.

I had no idea he was gay but he was married to a man named Tristan Kern de Gonzales (on valentines day 2025!)

They lived in San Antonio Texas where his family is from and he grew up. He was 59.

In Janurary 2025 his home was burned down which made news. It killed some of his beloved dogs. He didnt elaborate beyond he believed it was arson (gofundme is still up and i suggest donating to help his funeral costs and his husband

Now we know he and his husband had been threatened by several neighbors for being queer. They told pigs, pigs being pigs did nothing before or after it happened.

As they weeped and mourned in shock, a neighbor, Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, came out and aimed at de Gonzales…but Joss jumped in front of the bullet and was instantly killed.

Ceja, homophobia murdering coward, tried to take off but de Gonzales had called pigs who vaguely tried to do something. He was arrested and his bail set for $200k. Or as my sister said who the fuck sets bail for a murderer?

Which explains the ramp up of hate and why the murderer shot at de Gonzales (Joss pushed him out of the way). So this is also a transphobia related murder

This comic is a hobby and a labor of love, Sooki is not obligated to work on Broken Future and only Broken Future. She can quite literally do whatever she wants whenever she wants.

"Why do you update so little?" Sooki has a set schedule for posting comic updates (which most if not ALL comic artists do), which is stated to be every Friday. It wouldn't be fair to her whatsoever to make her have to update multiple times a week. From your standpoint, the quality of the comics would drop significantly due to having less time to work on it, and Sooki would also have to deal with a lot of burnout. Drawing ONLY one thing can be very draining, especially on one's mental health.

TL;DR - give an artist patience and respect because they are humans, not AI pumping out works every 3 seconds. Art takes time and a lot of energy <3

I've been stressing out for months, it's not been a good time (oooh boring personal stuff). I believe I've done a good job at keeping my head up and doing all this story to keep me busy. I like to write about many things, and sometimes (like on this blog) I answer more questions and stuff about the Earth plot. Which is STILL working on the comic, that's quite literally most the things I do. I have a job, I have uni projects, I have to work on my portfolio and I also do this comic and answer asks frequently. Am I missing something?

Is it because it was ONE page update? I'm sorry for the nothing burger. I'm doing what I can. I hope it shows.
