This is the last edit of my 1 min film. I tried to adjust all the problems in the previous version (the white line, the absence of faces, the sudden stop in movement before transition, credits etc. ) It is still not perfect, but I think that now it looks like a decent film.

This is the 1-minute film animation for the deadline. It isn't perfectly finished, as I still have to animate the faces and some other small details, but it has the main animation done with the sound and credits.   I am pleased with the outcome of some sequences, but at the same time, I feel like I have to put even more work into others. I shall revisit the parts where it needs more work after I finish the Essay for Theory.

Production Programs

I started the production part of the 1 min film project in TV Paint, but I experienced some technical difficulties, so I switched to Photoshop.

I did almost all of the animation in Photoshop.  

I didn’t liked how the smoke animation turned out in PH, that is why I used Procreate for it. 

For the psychedelic effect, I used an app called Filto.

I used After Effects to put together all the small bits I animated separately to not overheat my laptop. Also, I added the snow and other effects on AE.

After I finished all my sequences I edited them together using Premiere Pro, as Premier Rush did not work at the moment.

Fortunately, Premier Rush did start to work just in time to finish my project. I added the sound and rearranged some sequences to match the sound.

Progress on 1 min film production for the Crit.

Evil spirits first appearance. In this experiment, I used a Phsichadelic type filter ( from an app) over a Time displacement filter ( from After Effects).

Smoke ( Evil Spirits) failed attempt.

I used Procreate to do the smoke layer and I exported it both as a GIF and as a MP4 file. I don’t know what happened when I imported the file into AE but it turned out like this.

Progress on one of the Goats design. I am still experimenting with the concept of a light aura around the Goats. 

I used a watercolour brush in Photoshop to give the character a natural feel.

Current progress on my 1 min film animation. I did the line and base colour of the key frames on some scenes and a rough line for one of the goats

At the beginning of this month I decided to draw , in each day, something character design related. This is the progress so far.
