My mother taught me the garlic need a dark space to be conserved properly. I used the jar to store my garlic and to separate it from onions, shallots and potatoes.

For the Jar I decided to put some spices (the ones that Sara gave me from Lebanon!), since usually I store them in plastic bags or container, I think I prefer using the ceramic
Before I was considering to have it in the kitchen, but since it's quite messy I prefer keeping it now close to my window, so that when I bring the food in my room I can directly take the spices from there and use them while I eat - And since they have a strong perfume they also remain in the air circulating in the room (in positive) it actually reminds me a bit of the smell of my mum cooking with natural ingredients and oils.

For the hook: I hang garlic and onions because they are among the ones I use the most in the kitchen and since there are not a lot of places to hang in our kitchen and there are no windows for light, I placed it in the corridor between the entrance and the kitchen.
I like because like this it also feels almost like a ritual, or a little talisman against vampires - but yeah, It's kinda close to where we cook but also to where the lights comes in front he entrance.

I placed sugar inside as I always had a sugar jar back home and did not have one here. It is also really practical as the triangular shape helps pour it in when I need it

The hook for me felt like it should pick up flowers and let them dry to give a bit of color to my studio. Chose the window as it is the place with light so its shape can play with silhouettes as the day progresses
