even if osha's family had survived and she joined the order under peaceful, voluntary circumstances, she probably still would've failed to become a jedi knight. not because she doesn't have the talent, but because her disposition doesn't fit into the orders core values or fundamental regime. early on, osha displayed signs of emotional independence, nonconformity, and a desire to pursue personal meaning over institutional loyalty ( not necessarily a bad thing ) which would've put her at odds with the jedi emphasis on detachment, obedience, and selflessness.

whether violating the rules set by her parents or acting on her emotions despite the consequences, osha prioritises herself, often at the detriment of others, deliberately disobeys rules established by her parents / caretakers, and disregards the way this destabilises her communities. entering the order, osha might've intitially thrived, surrounded by peers, everything's shiny and new, but that honeymoon phase would've ended and the reality of the order's discipline, its expectations, and adherence to tradition would've set in. her need to question, challenge, and feel deeply would not only isolate her but lead to conflict with her teachers and peers, she wouldn't just be incompatible with the order, she'd be disruptive to it.

even if the acolyte had continued, the outcome would be same even under qimir's tutelage because at her core, osha's not a follower. she doesn't submit to ideology, institutions, or the authority of others, she can't be overwritten like that. qimir might've offered her the antithesis of the order, indulgence over discipline, feeling over control, personal truth over collective duty, but she wouldn't've stayed because it's just another system with it's own hierarchy, expectations, and underlying dogma. she would've resisted this too.

whether under qimir, the jedi, or some other thing, the outcome is always the same. osha rejects it and breaks away.

if qimir existed during the prequels he probably still would've fallen but it would've happened after order 66. he would've been experiencing his fall during the clone wars, growing more and more disillusioned and resentful of the republic / senate / council but there's more direction, more purpose ig during the clone wars so he doesn't have much time to really really dwell on everything that's wrong. he's too busy fighting, trying to keep his team alive, stopping evil people doing evil things. but then order 66 happens and the empire appears almost over night and everyone he loved / cared about is dead or is trying to kill him. so his fall is still quiet, still slow, still inevitable. but now he has the empire to turn all of that resentment, anger, loss, and pain towards.

HEADCANON : fighting style .

Qimir's fighting style is a fusion of brutal efficiency and calculated elegance, marked by raw physicality and unorthodox technique. he doesn't adhere to traditional lightsaber forms—instead, his movements are heavy, deliberate, and unpredictable, designed to end confrontations quickly and decisively. Despite the rawness, he remains unnervingly calm and composed in battle, exuding a quiet, predatory confidence that makes his assaults even more unsettling. His approach is improvisational, adapting fluidly to his environment and using misdirection, surprise, and psychological manipulation to dominate his opponents.

What sets him further apart is a rare but extremely difficult technique in which he creates the illusion of vulnerability by leaving calculated flaws in his defense—an open stance, a dropped guard, a delayed reaction. These aren't mistakes, but traps. When an opponent lunges at the perceived weakness they're met with a ruthless counter. It's a dance of deception, turning confidence into downfall. His cortosis armor also becomes part of his arsenal, allowing him to absorb blows, disrupt lightsabers, close distances with intimidating quickness. Qimir doesn't just fight to win—he fights to unnerve, to dominate, and to dismantle both body and mind.

Furthermore, Qimir wields the Force as a tool of psychologial domination, using it to break his enemies from the inside out before a blade is ever drawn. This technique was something he learned from the carnivorous creatures known as the Drengir, that are capable of extreme uses of mind dominion. Like the Drengir, Qimir uses the Force to amplify negative emotions, especially fear, anxiety, and hopelessness. Victims start seeing things as more threatening, feeling more isolated, and questioning their own strength and resolve. This emotional destabilisation is personal, invasive, and cruelly precise, tailored to unravel the mental defenses of his target.

In this way, Qimir creates an atmosphere of dread around him, where the line between what is real and what is not begins to dissolve. By the time his enemy realises what's happening, they're already compromised, their reactions slowed, their judgement clouded.
