Selena sat back in her seat, trying to put a little distance between her and the red head. There was something about her, she smelled different. She felt a little different, and the wolf inside her crept up trying to get a better look. She forced a smile to be nice until she could figure out what or who this girl was, "Nice to meet you, Londyn, I'm Selena. I'm new in town. What about you?"
Werewolves and Succubi
Londyn walked into the bar. She looked around. She was still getting use to this human thing. She was trying to take it all in and learn how to be more normal. She saw everyone sitting in booths drinking with their friends. But Londyn didnāt have friends. She thought in order to be normal she better start making some friends. The one good thing she noticed as she looked around was all the sexual tension in this bar. It would come in very handy if she need to feed at all. As she looked around she saw a girl sitting alone in a booth alone. She walked over toward her and sat in the booth. āHey Iām Londyn how are you?ā She felt different about this human there was something strange about her.

Wow, it didn't sound like there was a whole of fun things to do here in Chance Harbor. That might be for the best though, she could keep herself at a distance now, except she couldn't stop looking up into this boy's eyes. There was something familiar about him, but she knew she'd never seen him before. There was no way. "Sounds like there are some things," she started, trying to talk herself out of finishing the sentence but failing, "Would you want to go skating or something sometime?" Selena partially hoped he'd say no so she wouldn't go back into that old pattern of getting close and hurting others. But part of her really wanted him to say yes.
Spellbound by the Light of the Moon
An eyebrow rose at her words. Did girls find yoga fun? Because, the idea of bending ones body in that many contorted positions simply for exercise seemed pointless and painful. Adam wasnāt all that flexible. Maybe, she wouldnāt invite him along. Heād likely pull something and end up out of commission for a few days. āFun stuff?ā He asked, as he debated what was in the small town to do. āWell, thereās not a lot to do. Movie theater, obviously. Bowling alley. Thereās an ice skating rink near the outskirts of town and then if youāre into roller skating. Thereās a place not far. But most people go there for birthday partiesā He shrugged. āAnd thereās this ancient mini-golf courseā

Wow Skuld really did understand what she was talking about, the brunette had wanted to make friends as well because she'd been lonely at one point. She gave a small smile, "Yeah, I'd like to have a friend. Just please be careful around the full moon. I don't want to hurt anyone and, well, since you know..." She trailed off, leaving the rest blank because she was sure she didn't need to explain the carnage she could leave behind. "So tell me about Asgard. Is that where you are from?"
Skuld gently rubbed Selenaās back as she cried. Once Selena broke the hug she listened to her intently. āI can never truly comprehend what you have been through, for I am not like you, but I can relate to keeping people at a distance for their own safety.ā said the brunette recalling some of her times in Asgard. āI had to do the same back on Asgard. It got very lonely, I felt that not even my sisters could understand, and all I ever wanted was a friend, and I made one.ā she smiled. āSomeone who understood, who knew and still stuck around me. I donāt know if that is what you want or what you need but I am here for you. I will always be here to listen, and I am not going anywhere. I promise you that.ā

When his father mysteriously dies, his mother uproots him and his sister to L.A far from his hometown. He doesnāt quite get along with his mother but deep inside he wants her love- not her money. Selena let the brunette hold her, cry until she could get it all out. All the pain and suffering and loneliness brought on by this awful curse. She'd never thought of it as a gift, something she was strong to have, and maybe Skuld was right. But it was hard to think of it like that, like she could use it for good. There had bee much good come out of being bound to the moon so far. "Thanks," she said, smiling and pulling back, "It's just been such a lonely road, ya know? Every time I get close to someoneĀ I hurt them and I just can't do that so I try to stay away." It was the first time she'd talked to someone about being a werewolf in years, someone who really understood.
āYou are not a monster.ā said Skuld as she put her hands on Selenaās shoulder, giving her a caring look. āYou are someone who was given an ability that has burdened you so. You werenāt given this for no reason. You were given this because you are a strong person, and you have proven that. Not many would still be here if they found out what they are how you did. They would have given up, and more than likely died. You are a good, strong, beautiful woman - the farthest from a monster.ā said Skuld as she pulled in the girl for a hug. She knew she just met her but she wanted Selena to know she understood, and she cared.

"I have no idea what you are even talking about..." Selena says confused.
"Seriously, Cassie? Did the dark magic change your name or something? Is this like your alter ego?ā

Selena could feel the tears swelling up in her eyes as she nodded at Skuld, "It's okay, it's fine, I just..." she trailed off for a second, trying to gather her thoughts. She didn't usually open up to anyone, but this girl, she knew. She knew what had happened, but she was still talking to her. Selena didn't have to pretend to be someone else or anything else than what she was. It was so different, and she wasn't sure how to handle it. "I mean, how was I supposed to know that I...that I am a monster? They knew. They knew and they didn't tell me."
Skuld nodded her head, she didnāt mean to seem like it was a big deal to her, it was one of the biggest. She tends to take everything bad that happens to others personally being who she is. āI can assure you no one heard me, I made it so only you would hear however I will keep it down.ā she said, her voice now lower than it was before. āI am sorry about what happened. I know it may have come cross as no big deal to me but that isnāt the case.ā

Selena was taken aback when the girl laid it all out there, saying it as if it wasn't a big deal. She glanced around to make sure no one was watching and she leaned in to the girl with her voice lowered, "I don't know how you know that, but can you keep it down a little? That's not something I want the world to know."
āNot many have heard of me or Asgard. So I can see why you are freaked out and a bit suspicious.ā said Skuld as she gave a small smile. āAs for what you are itās simple. You are a werewolf. You turned when you were thirteen on a camping trip and killed your family.ā

Emmawin nodded. āSure that would be greatā

When his eyes met hers, Selena realized she was still tracing patterns along his arm. She pulled her hand away from him, slowly so as to be more discreet. It was hard for her to be physically away from people, painful at times, but she needed to behave herself. She didn't need to be pulling people into her life and then hurting them in the end again when she left. She wasn't sure if she could take it again. "Okay, sure," she responded, taking a minute to find something harmless to talk about,"what fun things are there to do here in Chance Harbor? I have my yoga and classes and things, but, I mean fun stuff."

āItās alright. Depressing things happen sometimes. Itās not as if itāll be all we talk aboutā He pointed out, as his eyes found hers. He found his gaze lingering there for a moment. There was something about her eyes. They were beautiful. āIāll let you decide what to talk about. So we can avoid any depressing topicsā He suggested, with a half-smile. He didnāt want to be the reason that the girl sitting across from him was sad for any reason.

Her eyes were downcast, her finger tracing along his arm absent mindedly as he talked. Yeah it'd been pretty bad, she remembered very vividly waking up covered in blood. Being terrified, confused, and not remembering what had happened to her. Sometimes the events haunted her dreams, making her hate herself even more. Selena was pretty sure she'd figured what happened. "Let's not talk about such depressing things, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring down the conversation," she said, looking up at him and hoping she hadn't scared off the first friend she was hoping to make at Chance Harbor.
Spellbound by the Light of the Moon
A sympathetic expression appeared on Adamās face at the mention of her family perishing on a camping trip. That had to be horrible. He didnāt want the gruesome details, obviously. They had to be gruesome, right? Right. And there it was, wild animal. āIām sorry. I know how hard it is to lose someone. But to lose everyone at once? I canāt imagineā He admitted, quietly. He didnāt remember much of anything about his mother. All he had for memories came from his father and he often blathered on about Amelia Blake instead of his mom.
