Valley of Fortune- Dinos vs Dynamos 5E Campaign is live now! @indiegogo https://t.co/CVMUjEJdi3 See the valley like you've never seen it before- basically the same but now also a battleground for zombie dinosaurs and steampunk giant robots!

Variant Cover Art for Unbreakable Iron Ranger Issue 10! Mecha Style Ironworks was very fun to draw, big send-up to @DeputyRustArt for once again allowing me to be a part of this project, we've had this planned for a while. https://t.co/1NnuUJib0a

I found it, the most unflattering video thumbnail ever lol The fact it's presumably just another side hustle scam video is the icing on the cake lmao https://t.co/FjtGk9eTFO

If you agree that fans and indie creators should not be punished for DnD trying to turn their tabletop game into a Live Service online game and then being surprised nobody wants it, share the tag #OpenDnD. Creators and people you love WILL be affected by this, so act now.

-The vast majority of 3rd Party D&D stuff is for people who already have all the official books and want more to play, the kinds of people who just bought Spelljammers. Wizards is not losing money on D&D sales to 3rd Party, OneDnD is a bad product and people are sticking to 5e.

-Make no mistake, this is all literally so they can sell OneD&D products and push homebrews and other TTRPGs out of the space. It is a bad deal for everyone and will force many to move on to other games. Less community, less groups to play with. Less people buying D&D. 8/9

-Making any kind of legal challenge about this would be extremely hard, WotC/DnD/Hasbro have billions whereas the most successful DnD 3rd party projects have made just a few millions, and there's only a handful of those. -They are counting on nobody being able to do that. 7/9

-The thing that really sucks here is that it is a TOTALLY legally shakey move for them to make that upon any real examination seems impossible to enforce and actually force people to comply with, but that just means the bigger targets will suffer first and so on from there. 6/9

-Numerous of your favourite D&D things will be affected. Critical Role? Dimension 20? Even stories and comics that seem only distantly related? If they got anything Wizards sees as "inspired" by their stuff, it is now a target and an unpaid intern who owes them IP rights. 5/9

-The old OGL let you keep rights to characters, settings, spells, art and assets and the entire printing layouts and pdfs of your homebrew modules. Under these new rules you are not just forced to give it all over to Wizards of the Coast, you owe them *an earnings report.* 4/9

-They also specifically call out artists, singers, podcasts, etsy shops, people who make wholly original settings using just the basic DnD mechanics (d20, etc) and are declaring it against the license to do any of those and more. -Everyone has till January 13th to comply. 3/9

-They are now revoking it, retroactively claiming any stuff made with it during that as theirs to reprint with no pay to creators AND a 20-25% tax on crowdfunding. -Agreeing to the new license means giving up rights to own your content if they revoke it from you. 2/9

To make a TLDR of the linked posts here: -DnD had an open license to base things off their system and make compatible stuff as long as it didn't use their iconic stuff (logos, beholders, gods, planes, named characters, drow, etc) for 20+ years. They said it was irrevocable. 1/9

Boosting this again, #OpenDnD because things are about to get very, very bad for anyone who is a 3rd Party making Dungeons and Dragons stuff friendos. https://t.co/OXgwWGdcLE

Annnnnnnd it's retroactive too! So the old rules don't apply and as of Jan 13th everyone with any DnD adjacent product or creative works is a target! It's crappy, it sucks, and I hate it. And so do your favourite DnD 3rd Party creators. So spread the word! #OpenDnD

Oh! And they now have the rights to own everything you made and publish it in perpetuity! So they can give it away, or sell it for less than you so you make NO money on it, or pretty much any underhanded thing you can imagine. It's an open license, of your stuff. To them.

the old OGL! You have until January 13th to comply, or be in open contempt of the new DnD license rules. I WISH I was fearmongering about this, but it's absurd to read what this is. Crowdfund a product approved by WotC? You still owe the platform their cut and now Wizards 25%!
