I fucking hate the idea that having sex with spike would bring Chase back. Because like. 1, It wouldn’t, and 2, even if it did, wouldn’t that be incredibly intrusive and boundary-breaking?

1. It’s said in Commando App that Chase’s commando app works mainly with testosterone and the act of protecting his family, which has changed due to details including Adam but that’s a different story and—though there’s many scientific loopholes and missing details in that explanation—that’s a canon fact. But testosterone can lead to multiple things, including, but NOT always, arousal. But arousal isn’t what we see in this scenario. Spike comes out when he senses danger, much like how people get incredible angry when stressed, or when someone suddenly gains the strength to lift a car off of a person. Sex drives your testosterone and shit up a wall. This connects to #2.

2. It’s incredibly obvious throughout the show that Spike, and the commando app as a whole, is a play on (and seemingly making fun of, because of the way disney channel was at the time) DID, or Dissociative Identity Disorder. I’m not going to speak much on this, as I know FAR too little about the subject, but it’s extremely common in DID to forget what happens after you switch, and this behavior is shown by Chase in every single Spike episode. Spike seems to have no knowledge (or very little knowledge) about Chase and therefore the powers he possesses (and vice versa until Spike v Spikette.) essentially, Chase has no memory of what happens after he comes back. He’s also most likely extremely tired, considering the multiple hormonal releases that have just occurred. Having sex with a person with DID, or with someone who will have no memory of the act, is eerily close to something we’d all rather not talk about.

Not to mention that yes, having sex with Chase has the possibility of bringing Spike out, which could be incredibly dangerous and potentially trauma founding for any other alters that Chase might have or Chase himself. Even if Spike wants it, Chase may not, and that’s something anyone should (and probably would) respect

And i’m sure that no one intended for this to be the case. They find spike attractive, which is totally fair, that’s what he wants. But I think it’s something we have to keep an eye on.

Sometimes you watch a show and you're like: wow, they had a serious show bible for this. And you just know it's treated like the holy grail it is by everyone involved, that it's laminated, that it's got annotations, footnotes, color coordination, a section for foreshadowing, callbacks, foils and parallels, that an eye blink doesn't get blunk without it matching that character's arc for the season and the show overall.

And sometimes you watch a show and you know that show had a pamphlet, one with, say, the word TEEN written on the front, WOLF on the back and just [TBD] splatted inside, probably with (abs?) scrawled on the bottom somewhere. And someone put their gum in it around the start of the fourth season.

Chase's color-coded military time schedule is cracking me up. No one else is teaching any normal school subjects besides chase, huh? His ass is teaching math, history, science, and english all in a day on top of bionics and weapons training. He even scheduled Q+A sessions
