𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇-𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒏 𝒔𝒖𝒃𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒄𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔𝒍𝒚 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was bullied a lot growing up. It started in elementary school, but it exploded in Junior High. My thick glasses, ill-fitting clothes, & inability to stick up for myself all made me an easy target. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I dreaded the days, filled with insults. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It helped solidify a poor self-image that I wrestled with even when my externals changed at the age of ~15. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ All of a sudden, *BOOM*, the world saw me as attractive & talented. My brain couldn't catch up. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But even when it tried, it was brought back down by messages that was I "too sexy" or "arrogant" (nothing like a confident young woman to stir the insecure peanut gallery). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ All these bullies, all these messages, all came from a place of their own feelings of unworthiness. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But whether disguised as wanting to "protect" me or plain in their desire to cut me, the result of the messaging was the same: debilitating seeds of unworthiness planted deep within my subconscious. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I imagine you've experienced something similar, beautiful soul. Assaults on your confidence by those who projected their issues onto you. You may or may not have been aware of it. You may or may not have internalized their messages consciously. 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆, "𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳?" ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2021 has to be the year of giving back to ourselves what was taken from us in 2020 (in a much healthier, self-empowering form!). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Security, stability, safety, confidence, mobility, freedom, and so much more. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2021 *has* to be the year we intentionally ❤️Reclaim our sense of wonder & innate inability to experience joy. ❤️Daydream about our goals & ideal lives, scripting them into being for the future. ❤️Love up on ourselves so deeply we never lack for it or seek it artificially in another. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In the vacuum that was created by what was removed, we can rebuild ourselves, rebuild the foundations of our lives to be built on a sturdier base of self-trust, self-love, authenticity, and a LOT less self-sacrifice. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Who will we be once the dust settles? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We'll find out soon enough. --------- P.S. Or the laughter that resounds in your stead. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Whatever it is, it's felt deeply by many that come in contact with you. Even on your "bad" days, this is true. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Amongst all that attention will be a plethora of souls. It may sound terrifying.. the idea of bringing your full self to all parts of your life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But that's the only way to access your true gold - both the gift you're meant to share w/ the world, as well as the many blessings waiting for you when you do. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2020 taught me with a fierce shake that I was hiding parts of myself. Hiding memories, insights, truths. Hiding parts of my personality. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I did it to survive, consciously & subconsciously, for months... years... decades. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It worked as intended, but it severely limited my capacity to experience earth-shattering joy. It inhibited my intuition & my feeling of worthiness. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Once I cracked open, so much poured out... carving out a place for a new, unbridled feeling of immense worthiness. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Because of that, I walk very differently in the world now. If you see me, you might not recognize me. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I now more fully embrace my, "I will punch you in the throat if you try me" energy (good to have as a woman). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And my, "I'm meant to do big things in the world, and support many amazing people" energy (I've long felt it; now I welcome it). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And my, "I feel the hidden, and I don't need evidence for it, to act on it" energy (evidence shows up later). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It feels liberating to access all of it. But more importantly, it's changing my ability to create. To show up for the world. To help others access their hidden parts, too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It's about damn time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Time to bring your full self to life, love, and biz, too. 🔥 ------------------- P.S. I am a historic, "let me put this on hold meanwhile I figure it out"-er. 🤔 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I put my passion & purpose on pause 🤐for years because I couldn't figure out what I wanted my message to be, or my brand, or my services. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That's ok, there's nothing wrong with that. I used that time to focus on skills-development and, frankly, there was a lot going on (including bouts of severe depression). 😫 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But, in that time, I also realized I no longer wanted to put my vision on hold meanwhile I "figured it out". ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It was a switch I made in a few areas of my life, including in my decision to finally create the content that had been sitting in my soul for years. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Messages that had sat idle because I couldn’t figure out how I wanted to position my messages... what it would all lead to and why...🐚 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You can see that choice play out in my Instagram account.
