My first fully finished illustration of the EC boys! This is one of my favorite covers of the comics so I thought I'd draw it in my style!

Jerry Titus Stokes Jr is not a saint.

Alright. At the epilogue of the Eltingville Club comic, Jerry has become a balanced person: he has his passions, he's a functional adult, he had and he’s having his fulfillment in life, surely he made new friends and he's having a healthy love story with Mandi. To achieve this, Jerry made his mistakes and had some hiccups as a teenager. After the Club broke up, he began to think, examine his conscience, and work on himself.

However, let's not completely justify Jerry when he was inside the Eltingville Club at its peak. Do you really think Jerry was the special one in the group? The saintly man? All the bad apples in the Club, but he's the healthy one? Let me get this straight! No matter how much Jerry showed he was a peacemaker and seemed responsible, no matter how many times he told his friends, "No, come on, guys, stop, that's not nice," no matter how different he is...

If there are three rude guys in the Club, and Jerry hangs out with them, he'll definitely be the fourth!

If you enjoy sharing your time with three delinquents, you’re definitely the fourth delinquent.

That's not generalizing. Let's leave aside the moral of "you can't generalize like that!" but if you hang out with a group of people who have questionable thoughts, terrible opinions about women and minorities, aren't respectful or polite, they bodyshame, and you hang out with them and have been friends with them for years, you pass every weekend together, you can't tell me you're not the same as them, or like them.

I'm not referring to acquaintances, but friends you enjoy spending time with. Not a colleague, not a co-worker, not a classmate, not those superficial diplomatic acquaintances, but friends, the real ones. If you're not a despicable person, you don't hang out with despicable people. Logical, right?

As we had seen in the comic, Jerry said slurs and made mistakes in the comic; of course, he’s not as terrible and short-tempered as his friends, but he shared the same mentality with them. We saw that Jerry was submissive to the Club’s dynamics. We saw he was the peacemaker of the group. Later, in “This Fan, a Monster!”, we see for the first time that Jerry is up to the Club’s toxic dynamics.

He risked in the epilogue to fall into the bad old schemes, but he stood up and cancelled the late Club from his life. This Club was not worth.
