Further using the film technique and short film conventions, we created our final short film for the course. The film followed a young girl who wanted money for a Bob the Builder costume. She trusts a wizard who says he will give her the gold cup if she completes 3 trials. After completing these trials she realizes that the gold cup is only a water bottle. She was quick to assume, teaching viewers the dangers of not reading the fine print.

We explored short film conventions and film technique/technology to produce the following mini film. Above is a screenshot from this film. The theme was persuasion. My partner and I took this theme and developed a film around the idea of distractions and how your inner conscious persuades you to lose focus.

Here is one of my best photographs from a series of 5 we did where we explored lighting and portraiture; Soft light, Side lit, Prop, Detail and Mood portrait. Above is a prop portrait. I toy with the idea of a hero by using both a villain (Loki) and a superhero (Ironman). Viewers are asked to think of the statement “ A hero in one’s eyes, a villain in another's” and vice versa.

The following double exposure assignment was done in our media arts class. Our client first provided us with a sketch they felt represented them, this included; interests, dreams and goals. Taking my client’s love for travel/scenery and fashion I composed the image seen above.
