Thinking about how epic getting treated as an object rather than a person because he has to endure all of the experiments gester puts him trough could be an allegory for sexual abuse.

It is implied in the "no pain no gain" comic that gester even experimented on his soul. Now, a monsters soul is their whole being. Doing anything to it without consent is a fucking violation. Even if gesters intentions werent that he still violated epic in the worst way possible.

The worst part is that gester didnt stop once epic became an adult. He kept experimenting on him, by inserting the purple eye.

Gester dowsnt see him as a living being. He sees him as a lab rat. A doll. A thing. A thing that is "good" because he stays still and doesnt object (nit cuz epic is ok with ut but because of FEAR. He has to if he wants to live, because of he tries to go against it gester will hurt him even more).

Transcript: Now that it's canon can people stop calling toriel a mother figure to sans? Was weird as hell since the two have ALWAYS had chemistry. And only got weirder after the befriending joke in chapter 1- ie if you thought this after 2018 and still think this in big 2025 your weird as hell for seeing this as familial.

While we're at it can we also stop making her a mommy to tenna?? He literally treats her like asgore does. is the fact that he calls her 'tori' (a nickname only he and sans use for her btw) somehow going over yalls heads?. Utdr fans never beating the oedipus complex allegations.

Why yall wanna make a man who blushes when he talks about her into her kid. Creepy as hell. Then yall going to get weird about when people ship them??? Brother your the ones making it weird!!!!! Ain't nothing familial about those two and how tenna treats her and im side eyeing anybody who does make him into her kid hard.

Im a HUGE hater of the theory that hes from one game and went to another, from a writing standpoint it makes no sense to me. (And i thought the same abt chess theory and i was correct so im not doubting myself much here.) Hes just too different to me to be the same guy.

If he is the same guy i dont think its gonna be plot relevant unless its gaster related, and i really think it would be toby trolling us at the end of the day. Looked at all those sans-centerd aus and went "im abt to do the funniest shit ever."

However, i NEED people to talk about the fact that PAPYRUS fills that role now. Hes the weird one we get no answers about. Hes the one who never shows up. Hes the one thats "busy" and only named on the steam/website page.
