Ik very little about your dynamic with your brother thus far, but given what he's like generally I'm inclined to think it's his fault that you're acting so possessive like this. Still, explanation vs excuse...

I'm glad Utena decided to come, it's prob comforting for Anthy
(In box Utena's dress kind of looked like either her flashback sequence or credits one, but now I can see the design isn't really the same as either)

:/ well, odds of her genuinely wanting to be Anthy's friend are down to near 0 I think

On the one hand, she's obviously uncomfortable with the idea and is clearly only agreeing bc it's Utena. On the other, Utena has a point; Anthy could use more friends, it would probably be healthier. On a third hand her peers have hardly been friendly to her of late so

I'm absolutely putting either Kiryuu or Saionji up to this
Does Nanami genuinely believe this? I gathered from Wakaba in ep1 that it was sort of common knowledge that Anthy was reclusive

Alternative hypothesis for why Anthy doesn't have friends: everyone else at this school fucking sucks
Thinking back I suppose idk what I expected the bullying situation to be like in a school school that has *gestures at the whole rose bride student council thing* going on

It definitely seems like Touga knows about the prince, but his clubmates don't appear to. Interesting...

This is the second time "nobility" has been used to describe Utena. Interesting double meaning since it could imply noble in terms of character or like. Of noble blood. Princely. This has smth to do with why Utena was given the ring I just know it
Also I feel like the prince has been depicted in a fairly positive light thus far (the beginning sequence narration, saved Utena, etc) so it's interesting that he and Touga (obvious scumbag) both describe Utena in the same way

Ofc part of Utena's intent here is to say like, "I don't want you to be my bride like you were Saionji's bride; you're not a prize that I won". But also. Utena when have you shown interest in normal boys literally ever
#rgu#rgu liveblog#like you idolize the prince you met as a child but that's it#episode 3#utena tenjou

Braincell 1: Ah yes, mecore
Braincell 2: Except on a more serious level, this is likely a Rose Bride thing (either the other student council members isolating her or her intentionally isolating herself so her classmates won't find out about her situation)
Braincell 3: Either Chu-Chu is going to end up serving some utterly vital and probably sad plot role later, or he'll never actually be relevant to anything. No in-between
