your dark fantasy novel doesn't need a logic-based magic system it needs a bear with a human face

🚨Help my sick father survive the Gaza war🚨🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hello, I am Ahmed Nour, I am 25 years old. We are currently living in a war of extermination and starvation. My father suffers from high blood pressure and a weak heart muscle. During the war, he was injured by a missile in his back, shrapnel in his head and another in his stomach. He needs surgery abroad to be able to move. We are now living in harsh conditions. We live in a small, torn tent. We have flooded more than once due to heavy rains, and this poses a danger to my father. I hope that anyone with a conscience will donate on behalf of my father. I hope that you will donate as well, as this appeal is directed to people with a living conscience.

I want to add that our situation as a family is very difficult. We are a family of 9 people. I am the eldest. My brothers are young and cannot sleep because of the severe cold. They need clothes, mattresses, and blankets so they can sleep. In addition to that, we cannot afford to buy our own food. Please help us, please help us, please. We are dying in silence. Donate for these children. They are young and have done nothing wrong.🙏🏻😭

Please help my sick father and little sisters to survive this deadly war. Please look at us with your humanity. 🙏🏻😭

Recently, I made a bold decision: I rented a modest but safe apartment, far from dangerous border areas, and enrolled my children in a private school so they could resume their education.

-UNICEF indicated that 625,000 school-aged children have been deprived of education for an entire year, with over 45,000 six-year-old children joining this crisis—putting them at risk of missing a second academic year.-(Source)

It was a real attempt to return to the bare minimum of a normal life—sleeping in beds, doing homework on desks, washing their hands in a real bathroom.
- According to a report published by The Guardian in September 2024, 90% of public schools in Gaza and all 12 universities have been damaged or destroyed due to Israeli bombardment.- (Source)

My son Adam, who is 6 years old, went to kindergarten for the first time. He saw toys and books he'd never seen before, and he didn’t want to leave. It was his first true moment of joy.
My name is Enas Majed, and I’m a Mother of four:
Layan, 11 years old, in 6th grade
Sarah, 9 years old, in 4th grade
Adam, 6 years old, in kindergarten
Amir, a 10-month-old baby, born during this war
The war robbed Layan and Sarah of a year and a half of schooling. That time is gone—and now we’re trying to make up for it. We can’t afford to lose this school year too, even if continuing their education feels like a risk.
Trying to provide both education and shelter during a war isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity for survival. Without it, my children’s future could disappear in the smoke and fear.
This month, I managed to cover:
Apartment rent: $700
School fees: $100
School supplies: $100
Today, I’m asking for your help to secure these basic needs for the next 6 months—covering $800 to $900 per month—for rent and continued education.
Over the past year and a half of war, we’ve spent all our savings just to survive—on food, shelter, and fleeing from danger.
All that remains is a small amount with my brother abroad, saved to help us possibly emigrate to a safe country—our only hope for long-term survival.
Your support isn’t just a donation—it’s a lifeline. A way to protect a family, give four children a chance to learn, and keep a roof over their heads in one of the most dangerous places on earth.
Your help keeps us standing. Your compassion helps us stay human.
Thank you for standing with us.
The campaign link on GoFundMe for anyone who wants to contribute to my children's education ❤️🩹

We are a family from Gaza, currently trapped in the street with bombs falling around us. Among us is a young child with a heart condition, injured loved ones, and elderly family members who can barely move.

We are in urgent need of your help. We must escape the danger immediately. We need funds to find shelter, buy medicine, food, and water — the very basics we no longer have access to.

The children are terrified, crying for safety. Please, if you’re reading this, help us survive. Your donation — no matter the amount — can save our lives.
Donate and share to save us now:

*grabs your hands and speaks to you in a tone that is so gentle* they/them pronouns stop being universal once you learn a person's pronouns. Sometimes that person's pronouns will include they/them and in that specific case you are allowed to keep using those pronouns for that person. In any case where you learn a persons pronouns and that person doesn't use they/them, you should no longer use those pronouns for that person. If you continue to use they/them pronouns knowing that person doesn't use them, you are now misgendering that person. Kindly stop doing that please. Thank you, I love you.

i love “weird” looking women. women who’s eyes are just a bit further apart than most, women who’s noses are sharper or bumpier than others. women who have big ears that stick out, or have a cute little point to them. i love women with crooked teeth that aren’t perfectly white and women with scars just from living life. i love women who have an eat-you-up grin, women with soft B bellies, women with deep voices. i love hairy women and tall women and women who love to say fuck. i love women with boobs that aren’t perky, women with acne on their backs and their butts. women are absolutely stunning no matter what package they come in, and each little quirk is just an extra sprinkle of attractiveness.

include black femmes in your sapphism, include Asian masc in your sapphism, include indigenous women in your sapphism, include Arab women in your sapphism, include religious women in your sapphism. The list goes on ! Many of you are so kind but it becomes increasingly apparent that your idea of lesbian diversity is a thin white girl with long brown hair and another thin white girl with long blonde hair.

Things that leveled me up as a Dyke Pt. 2
When I had dyke sex in the parking lot of the fire and brimstone church I grew up in
When a girl drew protective sigils on my arm for weeks after she overheard me tearing apart her old roommate for saying transphobic shit about her
When the sleep study doctor told me I have a medically large tongue and my wife shouted "I KNEW IT"
When the butch at the hardware store told me the shelf cutting machine broke and we spent 20min cutting shelves with bolt cutters for my wife's closet.
At the RenFaire, my wife tried the knife throwing but couldn't get it, then got huffy when I told her how to do it. She handed me the last knife and told me it's not that easy. I did not tell her I threw knives a lot as a kid, so with all her bags and jewelry balanced in one arm, I flipped the knife a couple times and sunk it into the wooden target guy. Felt like a damn hallmark movie and I loved it.
When an Aussie woman in a hotel lobby asked me to please please keep talking because she was fascinated by my american southern accent. I called her darlin and she blushed.
When my wife's grandfather was fine with her being a lesbian largely because I was such a big help with the cattle
When I moved an iron bedframe into the garden for my wife's coworker and she asked how long we'd been together. The answer was that morning. We'd been going steady for about an hour.
When I taught my wife how to waltz

non sexual intimacy!!!! bathing together, washing each other, playing with each other's hair, kissing every inch of their body, writing love letters on their back with your finger, connecting their moles and freckles to create constellations on their skin, running your hands up and down their thighs, ugh just expressing physical love without it having to be about sex!!!!

People used to comment on web comics.
People used to comment on fanfiction.
People used to comment on fanart.
People used to comment on OCs.
I hate "content" culture.
I hate "consuming content" and scrolling immediately to the next thing.
People used to be excited about the art that other people created.
People used to want to share that excitement with creators.
I hate this future.

On this mother's day, I would like to celebrate a mother in particular.
Over the last couple of years she has endured unbelievable strife and difficulties in Ghazzah that she struggled to overcome. Her name is Dina, and she has 2 daughters and 1 son with my friend Mahmoud Qassas. Over the course of the war she has survived invasion and displacement after invasion and displacement. In May of last year they survived absolute carnage in Rafah, and her husband has entered several comas due to a segment of shrapnel getting embedded in his brain during an air strike. During this time she had to care for her children alone, and she had to care for her disabled brother alone.
Now, she needs our help. She has been diagnosed with lung cancer, and she needs treatment urgently. Help this Palestinian mother stay with her children.
