i was wondering what portobello looked like? does he look like the average gray rat, or is a different color? does his fur have any special patterns?

i’ve been wanting to draw him, and was just wondering :))

I realized I never described him other than that he’s BIG LOL what a poor author I am!

Beloved Portobello is quite large, but he has small ears and a little face. His fur is brown, short, but soft, not as coarse as some rat fur tends to be. I suppose he’s most similar to a Norway Rat, but I don’t want to give him any specific type because he’s more of a house cat than he exhibits any particular behaviors to any specific rat type.

He has been tested for diseases by a professional before Copia allowed the reader to handle him or introduced him to any of his “siblings.” I should say it’s all for the sake of fiction as one cannot domesticate a wild rat. My brain was like “this is what I want and nothing can stop me” LOL.

He’s entirely a glutton and ridiculously spoiled, and Copia often lets him run free in the office after he’s healed because he will just rest like the lump he is on the desktop because he’s developed a learned behavior due to his injury that if he lays and acts despondent, Copia will give him treats.

You are so kind to wish to draw him and if you do, I will be entirely and forever grateful and excited and perish on the spot, and you have free reign to interpret his appearance however you wish! 😊

Rain, walking over to the door: "What happened? Are you okay??"

Aether: "Oh, I'm alright, Dew, however..."

Aether: "So I forgot my jacket in his room, but he was taking a nap, so I didn't want to wake him up by turning on the light, but he did anyway..." -taking the first aid kit from Swiss- "Well, I didn't notice he was awake, so I didn't say anything, and all he saw was something moving in the dark, so he did exactly what you'd expect a half awake ghoul to do and... and he, uhhh..."

Rain: "What did he do?"

Aether: "He launched himself at full speed at me, but I reached down to grab my jacket right when he lunged and he kinda... smacked headfirst into the wall... Made a hole the size of his head."

Swiss and Rain, wincing: "Ooohh... Ooohhhh... nooo... Ow."

Aether: "Yeahhh... Honestly, it was a little impressive. Definitely would have injured me, had I not moved. On the plus side, he has a new window! ...Into Mountain's room."

Mountain, from down the hall: "WHAT THE FUCK-"

Mountain, sticking his arm through the hole and giving a thumbs up: "...No problem, buddy. I'll patch this up tomorrow."

Dew, poking Mountain's arm: "WALLS CAN HEAL THEMSELVES??"
