Transforming Your Skincare Routine Online: The Best Online Course on Ayurvedic Cosmetology
Tumblr media
At the heart of Ayurveda lies the concept of the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. These doshas are dynamic forces that govern physiological functions in the body. Each person has a unique combination of these doshas, which determines their individual constitution or Prakriti. Understanding one’s Prakriti is essential in Ayurveda as it guides personalized health and skincare routines.
In Ayurvedic cosmetology, skincare is approached holistically, considering not only external factors but also internal imbalances that may manifest on the skin. Ayurvedic skincare emphasizes natural remedies derived from herbs, plants, minerals, and oils, aiming to nourish the skin and restore balance. These remedies are often tailored to individual constitutions and skin types, addressing specific concerns such as dryness, oiliness, acne, or aging.
Ayurvedic skincare isn’t just about what you put on your skin. It’s also about living a balanced life. Eating healthy foods, getting enough sleep, and managing stress are all part of Ayurveda’s approach to skincare...read more

Elixirs from Ayurveda India
Tumblr media
Growing up, the Ayurvedic elixirs were not just remedies; they were the magical kadhas that filled our home with warmth and healing. In the tapestry of my childhood, these elixirs were threads woven by the hands of grandmothers and elders who held a repository of knowledge about traditional concoctions. Each sip of ‘Golden Milk’ was not just a remedy for a sore throat; it was a sip of ancestral wisdom, a taste of heritage.
As a child, I vividly remember the distinctive aroma of turmeric wafting through our home when someone fell ill. The preparation of ‘Golden Milk’ was not merely a process; it was a ritual passed down through generations. The simplicity of combining turmeric with warm milk became a source of comfort, and the inclusion of black pepper and honey transformed it into more than just a remedy – it was a familial tradition, a connection to the past...read more

Benefits of Panchakarma Therapy
In Ayurveda Panchakarma is considered the most important treatment that helps to
eliminate the vitiated doshas ‘the body toxins’.The word pancha karma first appears in
Charaka Samhitha Suthra Sthana’s 2nd chapter. It is described elaborately in Samhithas
like Charaka Samhitha, Susruth Samhitha, and Ashtanga Hrudaya.
“Sharirajanam Doshanam kramena Paramaushadham”(A.H. Su)
“Vamanam rechanam nasyam niruhashcha anuvasanam
Ethani Panchakarmani Kadhithani Muniswarai:”
As per Acharya Charaka Vamana, Virechana, Niruha Vasthi and Anuvasana Vasthi are the
pancha karmas. Susruth and Vagbhata include Raktha mokshana as the 5th Karma.
According to Ayurveda the three body vital elements are Vata, Pitta and Kapha. For
maintaining health and wellness, these ’three Doshas’ need to be well balanced. When
these get vitiated it leads to the building up of unwanted waste or Toxins in the body which
will result in different types of diseases. Through panchakarmas like Vamana, Virechana,
Vasthi etc it helps to eliminate the vitiated Vata, Pitta, and Kapha respectively. This helps in
the detoxification of the body and maintains good Health.

Ayurveda School in India | Uvas Ayurveda
Ayurveda is a traditional system of drug that began in India more than 5,000 years ago. It is based on the idea that the body, mind, and spirit are interconnected and that good health depends on a balance between these three elements.
In India, there are many schools that teach Ayurveda, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These schools are recognized by the government of India and follow a standardized curriculum set by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM).
The Ayurveda curriculum includes subjects such as anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, pathology, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases. In addition to classroom lectures, students also gain practical experience through clinical training and internships.
Ayurveda schools in India are typically affiliated with a hospital or clinic, where students can observe and participate in the treatment of patients under the supervision of experienced practitioners.
After completing their education, graduates can obtain a license to practice Ayurveda from the CCIM and can work as doctors or researchers in the field of Ayurveda.
Ayurveda has gained popularity in recent years as an alternative form of medicine and is recognized as a system of medicine in India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

Concept of Aahaar | Uvas Ayurveda
AYURVEDA means “The Science of Life” and is the oldest and most comprehensive system of medicine invented for mankind. It is believed to have originated in 2500
B.C. Actually Ayurveda is rather a way of living to keep one in harmony with nature. It contains profound knowledge of maintaining good health, curing of disease and achieving a harmonious balance of body, mind and spirit. Central to this healing science is the doctrine of Tri- dosha (the vital energies of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) and the connection with the PanchaMahaBhootha (the five elements - ether, air, fire, water and earth.) Ayurveda teaches a way of life that enables us to be centred and focus on the healing that comes from within.
Ahara according to Ayurveda is one among the ‘TRAYO UPASTAMBHA’.
Other two are Nidra and Bhramhacharya.
Ahar(food) is important as, from proper wholesome and balanced diet, all the body constituents- dosha, dhatu and mala are formed. That is why it is said that “we are what we eat”.
Food is not only essential for our physical wellbeing but it gives nutrition to our mind also. What we eat influences not only on our physical activities but on the psychological aspect too.
Anything (food) which is consumed or ingested with the help of tongue, mouth and throat is called ahara.
